The Buffalo PBA was pleased to be included in The 100 Club of Buffalo cigar fund raising event last evening, and we are proud to be a contributing sponsor of the 100 Club. They are a wonderful organization that supports the families of officers, especially fallen officers!

Earlier this year they honored PBA Members officer Zappia and officer Schulz for their heroism.

Just last week they awarded 14 young scholars with scholarships toward their continuing college education.

These are just a few examples of the outstanding services that they provide to the Law Enforcement, Fire, and Medical community and their families!

Another busy weekend in the City of Buffalo which resulted in dozens of officers being forced to work, rather than spend time with their loved ones.

One event at All-High stadium necessitated 30 additional officers, more than half of which were there on forced OT during their time off.

Thank you to Bob & John’s and LA Pizza Club for the police support and, of course, for bringing pizza to the officers. It’s our PBA member’s love for the City, and the community support, that keeps us going while out of contract for 414 days!

“The Buffalo PBA is proud to endorse Saritha Komatireddy for Attorney General because New York needs an Attorney General who will stand with law enforcement, hold criminals accountable, and put public safety first. Saritha is a proven prosecutor who has worked with law enforcement to take on terrorists, drug traffickers, and violent criminals, and she understands what our officers face every day. In the City of Buffalo our members put their lives on the line to protect our community and its visitors, and they deserve an Attorney General who will have their backs. We are confident Saritha will be that Attorney General.”

This is a clip from President Davidson’s recent appearance on Lock In Buffalo. Host Michael Nanula wanted to discuss how what are often described as “low level” crimes can deteriorate a community.

Everyone seems to be coming around to the reality that there has been a recent spike in shootings and violent crime in the City of Buffalo, but ignoring these types of community crimes are what ruin neighborhoods.

The Department is in need of more officers to fight, prevent, and solve all levels of crime. 407 days working with an expired contract makes it very difficult to retain and recruit officers.

Support the police, while we protect the City that we love!

On July 10, 2024, Officer Ronald Ammerman was involved in a life-threatening traffic stop on Kensington Avenue. When the suspect attempted to flee, Officer Ammerman clung to the vehicle’s door to prevent being thrown to the pavement. Despite the danger, he managed to neutralize the suspect, saving an unrestrained child inside the vehicle. Officer Ammerman’s bravery ensured the safety of an innocent child and prevented further tragedy.

Just as Officer Ammerman protects the City, his vest protected him as he skid along the ground and he was therefore inducted into the Safariland Save Club as member #2253.

Congratulations to Officer Ammerman. The PBA could not be more proud to have such a selfless member!

Congratulations to the Erie County Sheriffs on their new 5 year contract that includes a 16.25% raise and will be ratified prior to their current deal expiring.

The Erie County Sheriff’s PBA, Sheriff John Garcia, and Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz came together to collaboratively support public safety for the residents of Erie County, and they should all be commended.

The Buffalo Police have been out of contract for 401 days and The Buffalo PBA are still waiting on the City to begin formal negotiations for a contract.
