Mani pedi day at the farm… lots of growth this cycle.

Thanks Craig for taking video for our online test. Hoping this halt scores well.

The heat this week made taking video a big challenge.

A qualifying Basic test for Bama this weekend. Thanks Nancy Porter & crew for the WD opportunity in MN.

Some good info for this week is in the heat stress chart.

🌡️🔥 Hot weather can increase the risk of heat stress in horses. Knowing what's normal for your horse — like their typical temperature, heart rate, and behavior — can help you spot early warning signs and take action before things get serious.

Help your horse beat the heat by:
💧 Providing free access to fresh, cool (45 to 65 degrees F) water.
🌳 Making sure horses have access to shade throughout the day.
🧂 Providing free access to salt to promote drinking.
💦 Rapidly cooling hot horses by applying continuous cool water over them.
❌ Limiting trailering or exercising horses if possible.

It’s the season for Hay, Grad parties & mani / pedi / shoes! Oh & pesky purple obstacles.

As the heat index rises, I recommend holding or slightly decreasing the daily work load. Be observant of sweat & breathing patterns as well as having a good cool out routine.

Carefully working on this young lady in the less heated part of the days.
