Join the group for a public opening reception of the Wood Engravers' Network 5th Triennial Exhibition and Wood Engraving Masterworks, Drehfal’s personal collection of engravings he’s acquired over the last two decades on Thursday June 25, 4-6pm
“If you come visit any time during the week, you'll see us with our tools and our box engraving [wood],” said Drehfal. A press and work space will be available during the workshop. Wood engravers will be working on projects throughout the week at ArtStart in between different presentations and field trips they have planned.
The open reception for the exhibits is Thursday June 25th from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. The collections will be on display at ArtStart through August 8th, 2026.

WEN's 2026 conference is June 22-26, hosted by Tony Drehfal at Art Start in Rhinelander, Wisconsin! A "Get-To-Work-Gathering" that includes plenty of socializing and engraving along with special guest artist Nicholas Wilson and guest presenters: Sarah Finn, Max Yela, Tony Drehfal and Author/ Naturalist, John Bates!

White will kick off the public symposium for "Our Common Ground: 250 Years of Americans Engaging in Nature" with an artist's talk. A performance/ presentation of White's crankie book with live music by friends Kevin Kehrberg (guitar) and Jeff Keith (mandolin) will follow.

Renowned wood engraver, Barry Moser, will speak as the 51st Annual William A. Dwiggins Lecturer presented by the Society of Printers and the Boston Public Library on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at 6pm.
