Steps Ministries

Man, what we do at Steps Ministries is a lot different than other churches. We’re not better. We’re not less. We’re just happy to be different, man.

One of the things we’re so grateful for is the ability God has given us to accept people from all walks of life. The broken, the drug addict, the well-polished person. No matter what walk of life you come from, it seems like we’ve had just about every kind of person you can think of seated in our house. We are always amazed at the new things God continues to do.

We were so honored to have our brother Jeremy McCool come out and bring the Word of God, teaching us under the power of the Holy Spirit while also challenging us through that same power. That man carries a teacher’s anointing, and we are so thankful for him. We truly believe everyone in the house left fed with the Word of God.

Our night was extraordinary, as it always is.

Tonight, we got to see God move in a mighty way. People were literally still getting prayed for after the service while we were fellowshipping and eating. People were receiving prayer for speech impediments, and we were believing God to bring healing. People were being prayed for concerning the hardness of their hearts. Even sickness was being prayed for tonight, and we actually witnessed a healing.

A lady came in who had been going back and forth to therapy for her leg, and she also has two damaged discs in the back of her neck. She was prayed for tonight, and afterward she said she had never felt the way she felt tonight. She had no pain in her knee and no pain in her leg.

I mean, she was so excited about it that she was pretty much telling everybody she talked to tonight about how God healed her. Even on her way out the door, she was lifting her leg up and showing people what God had done.

Man, it was just wonderful.

Jesus, we just love how You keep showing up in our house. Everything we do is to give You glory. Everything we do is to bring adoration to Your name. You are the face of our house, and we will continue to do what we have to do to make space for You.

Humble our hearts. Teach us, Lord, so that we would continuously host Your presence well. Help us to never get so comfortable with what You are doing that we stop making room for what You want to do next.

This is Your house, Jesus.

Our kids are learning more and more of the Scriptures, and we’re just so excited! We’re so thankful to have Susan Hogan . Man, the way she teaches them and helps them identify with the Word has been such a blessing. She’s been doing an amazing series with them on the fruit of the Spirit, and it’s been beautiful watching them grow in their understanding of Scripture.

Today was awesome; we learned spiritual warfare while I also gave a bit of my testimony, Durell Maddox . The highlight of today was having the tags back in the house, Benjamin Luke . Man, those two carry a presence of peace with them. What an honor to do ministry alongside them, praying with people and fellowshipping together. I am very excited they are back in town and am looking forward to their leadership and mentorship in my life. Praise be to God for another successful Bible study!

Another great successful youth nigh!!! Taught the kids about what it truly looks like to love like Christ! Real love doesn’t always ask, “What am I getting out of this?” Jesus showed us love by laying His life down. The world says, “Love me because of what you can do for me.” Jesus says, “I love you enough to lay My life down for you.” Love forgives from the heart! We walked them thru forgiveness and prayed a blessing over them. ✝️🙏🏽

Lord, teach us to love like You. Give us patience with people, kindness toward people, humility, forgiveness, and courage to speak the truth in love. Let our lives show people what Jesus looks like. In Jesus’ name, amen.”🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Today was an AMAZING Adopt-A-Block! 🔥🙌🏽

Three souls were deeply impacted, and one person gave their life to Christ while we were out evangelizing, praying, and serving our neighbors.

When we got back to the church, we were outside fellowshipping and eating with our church family and members of the community when a young man walked up with his girlfriend. He heard the Gospel, responded to the message, and gave his life to JESUS! 🙌🏽

Then, toward the very end of the night, we encountered a woman who was being severely tormented by a spirit that gave her thoughts of taking her own life. We began praying with her right there, and she was delivered from that spirit. She surrendered her life to Jesus and willingly asked to go inside the church for further deliverance.

What followed was an intense time of prayer and deliverance, but it ended the way it always does when Jesus takes His rightful place, JESUS WAS VICTORIOUS! 🔥

She walked out looking completely different. There was a glow on her countenance, a peace over her, and you could see the evidence of what had just taken place.

This is why we go.

This is why we evangelize.

This is why we serve.

This is why we refuse to give up on our neighborhood.

Where there is TRUE REPENTANCE, revival will always find its way into a region.

And we believe with everything in us that REVIVAL IS FINDING ITS WAY TO SENECA-BABCOCK! 🔥🔥🔥

Jesus is saving. Jesus is delivering. Jesus is restoring.

And we’re just getting started.

Steps Youth group this week was fire🔥🔥. We are so thankful for our sister in Christ, Susan Hogan , who continues to serve alongside us and teach the kids of this community.

Another successful night with Steps Youth. It's such an honor to see the kids come fellowship with us right after their first day of school. We are grateful that they choose the house of God after school rather than the streets and all the other stuff they could be getting into.

Yesterday was powerful at our Bible study.The Spirit of God moved in such a real way as my brother, Matt Funk, taught on spiritual warfare, the importance of forgiveness, and how unforgiveness and unrepentant sin can give place to the enemy.
After the teaching, we invited everyone in the room to search their hearts. He slowly walked people through repentance, renouncing things they needed to let go of, and forgiving those they had been holding unforgiveness toward.

And man… after that, the Spirit broke out.

There were tears all across the room. People were being healed in their hearts, set free, delivered, encouraged, and deeply touched by God. The prophetic went forth, and the Lord began speaking directly into people’s lives. I truly believe many people will never be the same after what they experienced last night. Something is happening here at Steps. God is moving, and we are simply honored that He would allow us to be a part of it.

Our prayer is that we would steward this move of God well, that we would stay sensitive to His voice, remain obedient to what He tells us to do, and never get in the way of what He wants to accomplish.

Lord, help us steward Your presence well.
