1. What is your job title and where do you work?
Residential Supervisor. My office is located in the Dwyer Cottage.

2. What is your favorite aspect of working for Gateway Longview?
I love witnessing breakthrough moments.

3. Do you have a favorite memory or experience from working at Gateway Longview?
I enjoy helping our youth navigate through hard choices and extreme feelings. I find my own inner strength while lifting others up.

4. Describe yourself in 3 words.
Resilient, Empathetic, Decisive

5. What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Outside of work, I enjoy fishing, camping, and traveling.

Are you interested in becoming a foster parent?

Every month Gateway Longview offers virtual foster parent orientations on the first Tuesday at 6pm. Gateway Longview also provides National Training and Development Curriculum (NTDC) classes on Monday and Thursday nights from July 27 - August 27 and from October 19 - November 19.

Both orientation and NTDC classes require attendees to pre-enroll. Reach out to Josh to sign up!

This month we are spotlighting Sarah!

1. What is your job title and where do you work?
I am a Family Support Specialist.

2. What is your favorite aspect of working for Gateway Longview?
I love all of the training and educational opportunities here. I've been able to attend a lot of sessions, ranging from trauma-informed care to first-aid and Narcan training, and I've picked up new skills or information from all of them.

3. Do you have a favorite memory or experience from working at Gateway Longview?
My team has a little Kool-Aid man figurine that we've adopted as a mascot, and every month during our team meeting we pass him along to a different team member to recognize an accomplishment. It's silly and encouraging; case work can be challenging, and having moments of brevity is great.

4. Describe yourself in 3 words.
Creative, independent, funny.

5. What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Outside of work, I'm the captain of a kickball team through OutLoud Sports, I love to travel and draw, and I'm a big fan of figure skating. This year I've also started taking ice skating lessons, and it's been a fun challenge.
