When I was looking at a bunch of the pictures in my album of client spaces and thinking about what to post, the theme that I saw in all of them was being “holiday ready”. Across all these client houses, what I see in these spaces is that our clients will be ready to host and tackle the upcoming holiday season with as much calm and grace as is possible (is it possible?)
✨ A baking cabinet ready for cookie season
✨ A gift wrapping closet where things are easy to find
✨ The ultimate table-setting drawer
✨ Kitchen appliance command center
✨ An under the sink cabinet you wouldn’t be embarrassed for a guest to look in for a dishwasher pod or garbage bag
✨ Party-ready hair bow collection
✨ Guest-friendly linen closet
These are just the examples I could grab from my camera roll in 30 seconds! The list goes on and on.
How can we help ease your anxiety going into the holiday season?
So much for the advice I tell my clients about “store it at the store” 🫠
Well Karen, the store is 3 hours away and shipping takes 3-5 business days, so… here we are.
In all seriousness, there are simply some staples from the biggest organizing brand store that I’d have a hard time living (I mean working) without - therefore: inventory!
Most of my other products that I use from other local retailers are readily available enough that I try not to keep too much on hand.
Does this surprise you? If you asked me six years ago if I would’ve had an entire room of my house dedicated to this inventory, it definitely would’ve surprised me!
The wild part wasn’t the 17,000+ photos. It was how many places they were hiding.
Albums, framed pictures, bins of loose photos, negatives, and memories scattered across devices and drives..😮💨 Sound familiar?
We scanned 6,150 printed photos—nearly half individually because of their age or condition—and recovered thousands more from phones, a laptop, camera cards, CDs, and USBs.
Then came the transformation: sorted, labeled, archived, digitized, and backed up. A lifetime of memories, preserved for the next generation.
Feeling overwhelmed by your own photo collection? We can help you get started. Send us a message- we know you have questions.

Three days, seven organizers from across the country (and Canada!) getting together to talk business and support each other. It doesn’t get much better than this when you are a solo entrepreneur!
And while Instagram makes it look easy, what really went into making this happen was a year of Mastermind meetings, hours planning out logistics and content to make this valuable for everyone, our spouses and families back home, and all of our incredible rallying so that we could step back and spend time reenergizing our businesses.
So grateful that the Brandie + Ryan, Home Sort brought us all together. Please give my organizing friends a follow and if you’re needing help and live in one of their cities, reach out!

Questions about the retreat and how we made it happen? Or where we went in Charleston? Ask away in the comments!
Don’t actually answer the second part of my question, k? Thanks
But is it just me or should these organizers be an “add on”? Like, I want to chose if in need these or not - because if this many people don’t, then I’m scared how many are ending up in landfills at this point.. 🫣

I probably don’t talk enough about the moving projects we coordinate - packing, coordinating, unpacking - on Instagram … and I think it’s because I don’t usually take pictures of that part. It’s just boxes, right?!
But what we really do is so much more. We give you back your time and peace of mind during one of the most stressful times of your life. It’s like having 5 of your most organized and meticulous girlfriends ensuring all the items from your old house are seamlessly moved to your new house. That doesn’t exist with a traditional mover.
I could go on, but no one reads the captions anymore I heard. Give me an emoji in the comments if you actually did 😅
P.S. This week and next week are managing two whole home moves for families in Western New York. Don’t move without us!
6 years later - I must say… there have been way more highs than lows. Like way more! And way more fun, unexpected perks, adventures, friendships and opportunities than I ever imagined.
But also some hilariously gross, crazy and exhausting times. Organizing is NOT a glamorous job and it’s not for the faint of heart. It’s physically and mentally exhausting. It’s problem-solving, it’s emotional, it’s complicated and it’s just frankly, a lot of times, doing something for people that even they don’t want to do. Stuff they don’t want to touch in their own homes.
BUT, I’m still here, because any of the negatives are so easily outweighed by the positives 🩷
