Compassion Not Cruelty

Along with religious leaders and people of faith across the United States, the Office of Public Witness is deeply concerned about the concerted escalation of anti-Muslim bigotry from elected officials in recent months. We cannot sit idly by—we must speak out: anti-Muslim bigotry has harmful and even deadly consequences. That’s why we signed an open letter declaring that “For the Love of God—and of our Neighbor—anti-Muslim hate must end now.” As Christians, we reaffirm our commitment to standing shoulder-to-shoulder alongside American Muslims in the pursuit of religious freedom, respect, liberty, fairness, and equality for all. Read the full letter, add your name, and help us share it with our political leaders.
