🚨 ARREST MADE: SWAT moved in on a Long Beach home today and took Unrico Sims, 30, into custody. He’s accused of shooting and killing Kenneth Shannon, 33, on Muriel Avenue earlier this month.
Sims is being held on $2 million bail, and police still haven’t said why it happened or how the two knew each other. The case now heads to the L.A. County District Attorney’s Office for filing consideration. Swipe for the details ➡️

A terrifying moment at a South Los Angeles elderly care facility could have ended much differently.
According to authorities, a custodian opened fire inside the facility, injuring three staff members before being taken into custody. More than 100 residents were inside at the time and were reported safe.
Police credited their rapid response, arriving within approximately two minutes, with helping prevent further injuries or loss of life.
Our thoughts are with those injured, their families, the residents, staff, and everyone impacted by this frightening incident.
