The vast majority of GSHA members are proud descendants of the first Spanish Europeans to settle in what is now New Mexico, United States of America, in 1598 or earlier. GSHA publishes an extensive quarterly journal, Nuestras Raices and a quarterly newsletter, Noticias de Nuestras Raices, available to members. GSHA annually hosts a genealogical conference and business meeting, where attendees gather together both as genealogists and historians to share the newest information, and as friends and colleagues to renew friendships and affiliations as 'primos'." Please see both the GSHA-SC and GSHA websites or the Blog for up to date calendar offerings.
