Flying Dutchman Cinema Rentals

While restoring a couple Mole-Richardson 10k's that we bought at auction, we found something interesting.

An inscription on both of the barn doors said "ILM NEW 1-6-90".

ILM? No. Could it be? Industrial Light and Magic? George Lucas' legendary visual effects company?

We weren't sure. We continued restoring the barndoors, wiping off the stencil of the previous rental house with mineral spirits.

Underneath, another logo revealed itself. The lightbulb and gear of ILM. There was no mistaking it now.

These 10k's very much could have been used for the visual effects on many classic movies of the 90's. They're industry veterans, and we're proud to keep their legacy going!

If you'd like to use them to light your next set, feel free to reach out to us for a rental!

WE'RE BRINGING TUNGSTEN BACK!

Mole-Richardson, the manufacturer behind some of the most iconic Tungsten lights in the film industry, sadly closed its doors in December 2025.

With the advent of more and more LED lighting on the market, some people view Tungsten units as nothing but hot, antiquated, and obsolete lights.

BUT NOT US!

We purchased 10 large Tungsten lights at auction and spent the past few months overhauling and restoring them to their former glory. Fully cleaned and rebranded, with fresh, authentic paint, new hardware, and new globes.

Four Mole-Richardson 5k Seniors, Two 10k Teners, and Four 9000w, Nine-Light Maxi Brutes.

NOW AVAILABLE TO RENT!

No LED on the market can surpass the high color accuracy of pure Tungsten light. The way it renders skin tones and colors is to this day unrivaled. And talk about output!

No firmware, software errors, or loud fans to worry about. Just pure lighting power.

Also great as props or use as practical lights within the shot.

Message us to rent them for your next shoot!
