Yes for Highline

Please sign this petition asking the Highline School Board to place this bond proposal on the November ballot, as recommended by the Capital Facilities Advisory Committee.

This is a rare opportunity to rebuild all three of Highline’s remaining aging neighborhood middle schools — Cascade, Chinook and Sylvester — in one bond. The proposal also includes CHOICE Academy.

The recommended bond would also fund initial design work for Hilltop Elementary and Valley View Early Learning Center. It would invest in a capital needs fund to safeguard and extend the life of building systems at Highline schools districtwide.

This bond proposal would take a major step toward addressing Highline’s remaining backlog of school replacements and repairs.

CFAC members spent months learning about site constraints and opportunities, reviewing community feedback and weighing the needs across our district. They reached strong consensus on the best path forward.

This is a defining moment for our board and our community to embrace change and do what is right for students across Highline.
