To all the girls, women, and moms out there with a messy room, I see you. 🤍
The unfolded laundry.
The missing items.
The unfinished tasks.
The dirty dishes.
The mistakes, the spills, the marks.
The endless projects you started with excitement and somehow never finished.
Yes… I see you because I see myself, too.
There is beauty in imperfection. A full, meaningful life isn’t always organized, polished, or picture-perfect. Sometimes it looks like a mess because we are busy living it.
Growing. Learning. Creating. Trying. Falling.. sometimes failing. Loving. Starting over. Moving forward..
I am a type B mom that at times chooses chaos. Give me smiles of flexibility with bits of impulsivity!
Maybe the goal isn’t to have it all together. Maybe it’s to make room for the beautiful, imperfect journey along the way.
And thankfully… we always have tomorrow. ✨

🌟 Functional Certainty vs. Accepting Uncertainty 🌟
In my practice I often help clients navigate the tension between needing certainty and learning to accept the unknown. Let's break it down:
🔍 Functional Certainty
Functional certainty is about creating enough structure and predictability in life to function effectively. It’s the kind of certainty we seek in our daily routines, relationships, and decision-making. Think:
Following a morning routine 🕒
Trusting that loved ones will keep their word 💬
Knowing the sun will rise tomorrow 🌅
Functional certainty allows us to feel grounded and stable in a world full of chaos. It’s not about controlling everything—just creating a sense of balance where we can thrive.
🌪️ Accepting Uncertainty
On the flip side, life is unpredictable. Accepting uncertainty means letting go of the need to control outcomes we simply can’t. It’s about embracing the unknown with courage, flexibility, and trust in your ability to adapt.
Examples:
Acknowledging that we can’t predict others’ actions 💭
Being okay with not knowing what the future holds 🌌
Releasing the need for perfect answers ✅
💡Functional certainty helps us establish a foundation for living, while accepting uncertainty frees us from the anxiety of needing to control the uncontrollable. Both are essential for emotional well-being and resilience.
✨ If uncertainty feels overwhelming, start small. Identify areas where you can create structure, and practice tolerating ambiguity in low-stakes situations. Balance is the goal—not perfection!

Inference-Based Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT) is a unique form of psychotherapy design to treat Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder and related psychological conditions.
I-CBT is an evidence-based treatment that is based on the fundamental idea that obsessions are abnormal doubts streaming from inferential confusion, a specific reasoning process affecting those who suffer from OCD and that can be addressed in therapy.

Many people that are suffering from OCD lose their ability to trust themselves and question their rationality/logic.
New (well ok, considerably new) and exciting approach to OCD Treatment is I-CBT that can help with exactly that.
I-CBT focuses on the doubt behind the obsession component in the OCD.
With recognizing this cognitive process, one can reclaim understanding of the OCD and relearn to trust their senses.
Learning what is actually based in reality rather than possibility or imaginary.
I -CBT helps to clarify and differentiate this doubt from any other thoughts and helps us understand the cognitive processes underlying OCD.
Trust you can make changes and relearn to trust you.

Preparation. Conversation. Kindness.
Separating from significant adults in new situations is common, normal, and a typical response for young children.
Unfamiliar situations trigger some levels of anxiety for everyone. Most people prefer to know what the plan is, what is next.
Don't you?
Entering a new environment without knowledge can be overwhelming and scary. Accept and respect your child's reaction.
Kids deserve adult kindness and attention, to feel safe enough to explore the world and engage with others.
Safety is a basic need.
Imagine how powerless children are in so many situations. They don't get to choose many aspects of their lives.
Supporting them in these uncertain moments by normalizing emotions, model communication and connection.
Preparing your child to school is the best way to reduce separation anxiety.
Discuss expectations, remind the schedule, drop and pickup plans.
Encourage your child to ask questions and check about concern, thoughts or emotions (or better say: please ask two questions or tell me two things on your mind).
If your little one isn't talkative you can suggest options and and reassure then that it's ok to be nervous and excited at the same time. Something new experience might feel weird or even scary.
You can practice affirmation, positive self talk, discuss different scenarios, what to do when they need help.
Take deep breaths together. Breathe together.
And most importantly hug them and tell them how much you love them.
And BTW, it's ok to feel the same emotions being a parent... The most important person in the world is navigating something new and challenging without you.
Please write to me what your child's response to new beginnings.
Have a wonderful school year!!!

The human mind, the command center for our nervous system,
80-100 billion nerve cells is the most complex organ.
It is our greatest strength and also the generator of many unpleasant experiences around mental health.
Imagination can take as far... Something it takes us too far.
When you notice yourself doubting, try to explore its origin in reality or imaginary?
When the mind / imagination creates doubts, it might take you to uncharted territories of anxiety.
If you find yourself stuck in this doubt, ask yourself if you are engaging in overly rumination about the "what if".
Check your senses, check what information you already know, what evidence you already have, and try to notice when imagination took over.
Can you pause and notice the storyline? Can you notice any alternatives to this imaginary narrative?
Our imagination is a profound tool! Let's steer it to creativity rather than let the anxiety loose.
✨Please let me know your thoughts! Did this resonate with you? Sounds familiar?
I encourage you to write comments about your doubts and imagination!
