Since 2019, Plus3mm Creative has had the pleasure of creating the festival’s visual identity for the Goethe-Institut Los Angeles and the American Cinematheque — from the key visual to on-screen graphics, banners, invitations and everything in between. Seeing that identity come to life across Los Angeles each year is special. This anniversary makes it even more so.

From October 8–13, German Currents Film Festival returns with screenings at the Aero Theatre in Santa Monica, the Los Feliz 3, the Wende Museum, the Goethe-Institut Los Angeles and Gardena Cinema. 📍 Opening night features the West Coast premiere of FATHERLAND (VATERLAND). 🎞️

Here’s to 20 years of German cinema and the stories that bring people together across borders. We look forward to celebrating with you! 🥂🎉

For Aleksa, an Italian food brand from 🇩🇪 Berlin, we created a complete brand system designed to be recognized instantly and remain consistent from shelf to skyline.

The visual language translates Italian heritage into a contemporary brand experience: iconic tricolor stripes create immediate recognition, warm cream tones communicate authenticity, gold details signal premium quality, and honest ingredient imagery builds appetite and trust.

It feels familiar without being nostalgic and premium without feeling distant.
