CATOOSA (CAT) needs a foster by tmrw😩

💜Our beautiful senior girl (approx 7-9yrs) has survived abuse and neglect and has been thriving at the rescue.

🐾We originally thought she would be a sanctuary dog and be unadoptable. But with a lot of time, love, patience, and work our staff was able to make a lot of progress with her and then a deer volunteer gave her the opportunity for a weekend Stay to see how it went. She did fantastic! She way surpassed our expectations and we realized she is in fact adoptable!

💜 she has recently been in a temporary foster home tomorrow will mark two weeks. The family is not able to continue fostering, but it’s been a great experience for CAT☺️ we still have two dogs that will be returned at some point this week or next, so we are really hoping to find another foster for this sweet girl to go to.

💜🐾💜 she is very low maintenance! basically just loves to piddle around the house with you…a few potty breaks outside is all she needs to be happy. Potty trained & crate trained. Will do fine with low energy easy going dogs. Best in home without small children just because she scares easy

We want to thank Cody Bearden, the director of Calhoun City Animal Control. So many times Cody has went above & beyond his job duties to help a dog get a home or get to the vet for needed care.
Many times rescues have a challenging relationship with their local animal control. This makes things soooo difficult when the goal is to get these babies good homes. Cody recently helped us cat test LEVI☺️
Thank you Cody for being one of the good guys🥰we wish more animal control staff was like you & Evan💜🐾💜

LEVI is all around a great dog! People, dog & cat friendly, potty trained, not a fan of the crate but will crate for you. He is wonderful in public situations. He has been in the kennel too long to be this great😔 770-548-8938 to meet sweet affectionate LEVI💜🐾💜

BIRDIE is VISION challenged (but only slightly) and is getting depressed in our rescue kennel😔
🐾We need a 2-3 week foster (at which point we hope her former foster can take her back)

HER STORY-BIRDIE was formerly Sally at Murray County AC. She was facing euthanasia due to overcrowding and was rescue only due to vision impairment. Someone took interest in her and as we were processing the application we got BIRDIE to a short term foster that we have used before. She did great!!! He loved her🥰 no issues, other than she went into heat

She then went to the potential adopter. We do believe the slow intro was not strictly followed because she did so well when first meeting them. Based on feedback it seemed BIRDIE became overwhelmed with the multiple dogs in the home. What began great apparently fell apart. The family had BIRDIE 8 weeks and we were not aware that there were problems until they text at the 7 week point to say she was having squabbles with a couple of the dogs (they said she was kept separate until heat was over-all dogs in the home were fixed)

🐾WHAT BIRDIE NEEDS-a home with someone who loves walks & hanging outdoors. A home with only one other dog so she isn’t overwhelmed. No small children. Someone who will keep in mind to talk before touching from behind (she has been fine but this will help to not startle her)

💜🐾💜BIRDIE is a very inquisitive girl who is affectionate. She loves to investigate through smell. Her vision has not affected her that we can tell-perhaps some peripheral challenges. May not see on dark like other dogs.

A little late, but Happy National Black Dog Day to our absolutely gorgeous KORA JEAN💜🐾

KORA is an experience not a dog😆she is beautiful, quirky, soooooo loving once she allows you to be in her fan club🤭an amazing training coach for anyone starting a walking program or running a 5k or hiking.

She is sleek, gorgeous and many times misunderstood🥺we have now had KORA about 3 years😔

People want instant, they want perfection, they don’t see the amazing connection you get with a dog that you actually take the time to WORK WITH

KORA was in a home at one point and did fantastic even with the toddlers. Their missing female dog being found caused KORA to lose her new home🥺 being returned really hurt KORA. She needs the chance again to show what a good girl she can be.

Ask anyone at the kennel-they love KORA🥰 she just needs a person with a little patience. No other dogs OR an easy going male and a slow slow proper introduction time period.

She will be sooooo worth it if given the chance.
