A little Travel Ted Talk ✈️

Just like everything else, travel pricing is up!
A few things to keep in mind when we start planning your next vacation:

📅 Peak travel = peak pricing
Christmas to New Year’s will be the MOST EXPENSIVE time to travel.
Spring Break, summer, and other school breaks are typically some of the more expensive times to travel as well. Usually any school break equals a price increase.

👉 Waiting until the last minute usually won’t get you a better deal. Those “last minute sales” just aren’t as common as they used to be.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Traveling with teens?
Teens are often priced as adults, or close to it, at many resorts, which can significantly increase the overall cost.

🏨 Families of 5-8:
You typically won’t fit into one standard room. Expect to need a suite, connecting rooms, or multiple rooms, which can also increase the overall price.

💵 Budgets
I completely understand having a budget, I have a budget when I travel too! BUT, sometimes the cheapest flight, long layovers, and low end resorts aren’t always worth it. I’m here to help send you in the right direction!

RIU Latino Review ✨

This resort is a budget friendly, adults only resort in the Costa Mujeres area of Cancun! The resort is a few years old and is a solid option for those on a budget.

The resort is small scale and very well kept. The entire resort is easily walkable and would be fine for anyone with mobility issues.

The resort sits a little further back from the beach but still beach front and a short walk! This area tends to get less sargassum (seaweed).

They have five pools here. Two have swim up bars and two have a bar cart that comes around for orders. The outer edge pools were the quiet pools. They also have a waterpark with water slides. The slides are actually pretty fast…I came back with a bruised elbow 🤣

The food here wasn’t five star but we never went hungry. The buffet is open for every meal and had tons to choose from. We enjoyed the steakhouse and Asian restaurants. The drinks were good at each bar and you can ask for top shelf liquor as well.

They have tons of activities during the day and the entertainment team is very interactive! They do shows each night and we enjoyed the circus show and karaoke night. There is also a nightclub on site.

There was a very wide age range of guests and several bachelor/bachelorette parties. Overall this is a solid option for those on a budget!
