Getting ready for a new baby in the family? Care & Keeping of a New Baby: A Workshop for Big Sibs is happening Thursday, October 8 from 10:00-11:30 AM in the Ruggaber Community Room.

Kids ages 2 to 8 will learn about babies, practice caring for baby dolls, enjoy a read-aloud, and take part in activities with their caregivers. Some dolls will be available, but families are welcome to bring one from home.

Presented by Danielle Liddick, nurse, doula, early childhood educator, and postpartum consultant. Registration required.

Calling all teen writers! Teen Plot Twisters meets Tuesday, October 6 from 5:30-7:30 PM in the Ruggaber Community Room.

Bring your fiction, fan fiction, manga, poetry, or whatever you're working on. The first 30 minutes are for socializing, followed by writing, sharing, and constructive criticism.

Book Explorers Kindergarten Prep continues in October on Monday, October 5 and Monday, October 19 from 5:30-6:30 PM in the Community Room.

Each week, children will explore a new book, then take part in crafts and activities related to the story while practicing kindergarten prep skills.

Enjoy an afternoon of music with Cumberland Flutes in Concert on Sunday, October 4 from 2-3 PM in the Atrium.

Cumberland Flutes is an adult community flute ensemble featuring instruments from piccolo to contrabass flute. Their program will include something for everyone, from classical to popular and adult contemporary music. Come hear the unique orchestral sound of an ensemble made entirely of flutes!

Put your creativity to work for a cause with Teen Craftivism!

On Saturday, October 3 from 2:00-3:30 PM in the Kunkel Creation Station, teens ages 13 to 18 will explore civic engagement and empowerment before creating their own Busted Canvas craft to express a cause that matters to them.
