💡What does it really cost communities when our leaders vote for a federal budget that hands out trillions of dollars in tax breaks to corporations and the wealthy — and they pay for it by cutting the programs our communities rely on to survive?
⠀
Sr. Eilis McCulloh, HM is joined by our guests:
⠀
✨ 𝗔𝗺𝗶𝘆𝘂𝗵 𝗧𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗮𝘀 — Senior at Loyola University New Orleans, poet, and a 2026 Sr. Carol Coston, OP Fellow at NETWORK; she is organizing on the Gulf Coast for voting rights and against extractive industries.
⠀
✨ 𝗥𝗲𝘃. 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗱 𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗶𝘀 — United Methodist pastor organizing in the southern West Virginia coal fields alongside mineworkers, focused on environmental justice, poverty, and workers' rights .
⠀
👉Listen in for a conversation that examines this budget's damage from the Gulf Coast to Appalachia — and what it takes to change systems and protect the people who are hit hardest.

Thank you everyone! 💌

Your response was overwhelming, and we have officially run out of "See. Love. Vote." postcards! Together, we have sent out 50,000 postcards. Thank you to everyone who ordered cards to send to a fellow voter. Every handwritten postcard helps someone feel seen and reminds them that their voice matters.

📬 Please mail all postcards by Oct. 12.
🗳️ Then, make your own plan to vote in the 2026 Elections!

⏰ 3 days to go!

As we head into the midterm elections, NETWORK Lobby for Catholic Social Justice is launching “Communities Over Billionaires: Who We Elect Matters!" — our new 501(c)(4) partisan accountability project. We want YOU there for the conversation and launch. 🚨

Higher prices. Less affordable healthcare and housing. Less safety. Less access to food. These aren't accidents — they're the result of votes made by our elected leaders, even as billionaires got trillions in tax breaks.

Thank you, Ursuline Sisters of Cleveland, Sisters of the Incarnate Word, and Sisters of Charity of St. Augustine! 💌

What a beautiful way to spend a Sunday: Sisters from three communities around one table, handwriting postcards to Catholic voters in Pennsylvania about how you love your neighbors and why you're choosing to vote. Your personal words will mean so much to the people who receive them.

And yes, a sundae from Handel's is the perfect finish. 🍨

Thank you for living out with such joy and hospitality. 🙏

Thank you for holding a "See. Love. Vote." Postcard writing party Dominican Sisters of Houston!

Earlier this week, our sisters participated in NETWORK's "See. Love. Vote." campaign to get out the vote for the November elections. Moved by love for our neighbors, Sisters wrote postcards to community members explaining why they vote and encouraging them to do the same.

Please use the link below to check your voter registration or register to vote for the upcoming election. The deadline to register to vote for the November 3rd election in Texas is October 5th!

SSND Supports "See. Love. Vote." “See. Love. Vote,” a nonpartisan campaign focused on get-out-the-vote efforts for the 2026 U.S. elections, is inspired by “See, Judge, Act,” a framework of Catholic Social Teaching that guides how we reflect on the world around us and take action for positive change.

The goal is to connect communities with the tools they need to be informed and engaged voters, inspired by the common good. Learn how you can take part!
