Five years ago, I took a leap of faith and opened the doors to Collected on the Carlinville Square. Somehow, that little dream has turned into five wonderful years of vintage finds, mercantile essentials, friendships, memories, and a community that continues to amaze me.

I’m not entirely sure Ruthie knew what she was signing up for when I said, “Hey, I’m coming to the shop Thursday to shoot some content for our 5-Year Brick + Mortar Birthday Bash.” 😂
A few hours later there were cupcakes, confetti poppers, balloons, noise makers, camera equipment, and more giggles than actual productivity. 🎈🧁✨
But honestly, it was the perfect reminder of what Collected has always been about—creating memories, having fun, and celebrating the little moments along the way.
As we put the finishing touches on birthday bash week, I’m feeling incredibly grateful for the last five years and all of the people who have been part of the journey.

One more graduation for our family this week… ❤️
After celebrating our youngest graduating high school, we watched our oldest earn her Juris Doctor degree and graduate magna cm laude from Northern Illinois University.
What a week. What a season.
We’ve been soaking up every moment, which explains the occasional chaos around here lately. 😉
Now that our graduation era has officially come to an end, it’s time to turn our attention to Collected’s 5-Year Birthday Bash coming up this week!🎉✨
