Aloe Dog Training

☕️🐾Coffee time with the pups!
Today’s group Walk & Train included some city strolls, practicing calm behaviors around distractions, and a very important coffee shop stop.🍵

I love getting dogs out into the real world to work on skills in new environments - and keeping it fun along the way!

🐕🏃‍♂️Group Walk & Train = walks + training + real-life experiences with your dog.

What a champ River is! 🐾

She started out highly reactive to other dogs-practically unhinged out in public. And now, thanks to positive-reinforcement based training, she is my business partner, helper dog, and dream dog. ❤️

She helps teach service dogs new skills, works with shy and reactive dogs on their socializing, and generally shows everyone how to have a good time!

No one told River she was leaving the street life to become a trainer’s dog…but I think we have it pretty good as a team now. ✨

Dogs are soaring and flying through the obstacle course! 🌈✨ So proud of these amazing pups and their parents. 👏

Lots of cuties excited for their forever homes 🐕🐾

and Aloe Dog Training have partnered up and are now offering Pack Walks on Monday mornings. 🐾🐕
This is a great social opportunity for current & previously adopted Thrive Dogs, and for the wonderful people who make Thrive Animal Rescue a haven for so many.

Ever curious why your dog yawns when she does not seem tired? Dogs can tell us about their feelings through body language. If your dog is licking their lips, even when not hungry or near food, this can also be a sign of stress!

A dog with a hanging tongue out of the side of their mouth can mean they are relaxed and content.

Learning how to read dog body language is a great way to understand what emotions they are feeling.
