Cane Rosso Rescue

🙋‍♀️We have a question: Do you feel like these two dogs living OUTSIDE A DOLLAR GENERAL in South Texas could probably get a life upgrade if we helped them?

👏 Cool. SO DO WE.

We need TWO foster homes for these two girls, and they are IN. 🙌

Mom + daughter? Probably. Maybe. Honestly… we don’t know. 🤷‍♀️ What we DO know is they’re friendly, social, good with dogs and kids, and…..currently living OUTSIDE A DOLLAR GENERAL in South Texas. 🤨

Cane Rosso Rescue can bring these girls into rescue. We can get them vetted, cared for, and on the road to the lives they deserve.

🏠 BUT—we need committed foster homes FIRST.

We need two actual homes ready to commit and say YES and give these girls a safe place to land. We cannot bring them here without a home for them to go to.

No home 🟰 no rescue 💔💔💔

That’s IT. That is literally the only thing standing between these girls and a secure, loving home instead of a parking lot outside a Dollar General.

🙋🏼‍♀️ So… who’s in?

Let’s get these girls OUT OF THERE and into rescue!!!

❓Can’t foster? Please like, comment and share this post to help us find them homes.

🆘 BUDDY NEEDS A FOSTER!

Okay, people… look at this handsome guy. 👀

Buddy is officially looking for a new place to call home, and Cane Rosso Rescue wants to help make sure his next chapter is a good one.

He’s been a family dog his whole life, is used to kids, and has that easygoing, happy-go-lucky personality we love. His family’s life has gotten busier, and with allergies becoming an issue for the kids, they made the difficult decision to ask us to help Buddy find a new home.

So here we are.

Buddy doesn’t need to be “saved” from some horrible situation. He just needs a temporary foster spot while we find his second chance.

A foster home means Buddy gets a safe place to settle in, decompress, and be loved while we handle the rest.

If you’ve got room for a handsome GWP who already knows how to be a family dog… Buddy would like to speak with you.

🆘 HONEY NEEDS A FOSTER HOME 🆘

This sweet GSP/Lab girl needs a new beginning, a second chance.

Honey was picked up as a stray and brought to a local shelter with no microchip, no owner searching for her, and no one coming to claim her. Just another dog in a shelter that is already overflowing with dogs who have nowhere else to go.

👀 The shelter staff saw how incredibly sweet she is and actually took her home with them rather than put her in a kennel. ❤️ That tells you a LOT about this girl.

She’s been around other dogs and kids and has done wonderfully. She’s the kind of dog we know is going to make someone an absolutely fantastic companion.

We want to pull Honey into Cane Rosso Rescue and give her the fresh start she deserves. But we can’t do it without a foster.

🙏We are looking for ONE person to say, “I’ll give her a safe place.”

One committed foster home.

A soft place to land.

A little patience.

A lot of love.

That’s all Honey needs to get out of the shelter and start her journey toward the family she’s been waiting for.

If you can foster Honey, PLEASE apply.

Available for adoption: meet Monroe. 🩷

This stunning 10-month-old Golden Retriever/Lab mix found herself in need after her family lost their housing and wanted to make sure Monroe had a safe place to land — instead of a shelter.

So, Cane Rosso Rescue stepped in. And this girl? She’s been pretty dang wonderful.

Monroe is sweet, beautiful, and just a little shy while she figures out this whole “my life just changed” thing. She likes to hang back, observe, and take things at her own pace.

And honestly? We’re good with that.

She LOVES other dogs and has been fantastic with her foster friends. Having a confident canine buddy around seems to help her come out of her shell, too.

She’s also discovered that couches are pretty great, treats are an excellent way to make friends, and playing with toys is a pretty wonderful way to spend your day.

GSP Female Available for Adoption: meet Maple 🍁

This gorgeous girl was dumped on a property in East Texas with no microchip, no tags and, apparently, no one coming back for her.
Their loss. Seriously.

Since becoming a Cane Rosso Rescue dog, Maple has been nothing short of amazing. She was initially a little shy and understandably wondering what the hell happened to her life, but it didn’t take long for her to figure out that people are pretty great. Now? She loves everyone she meets.

Maple is a 10-month-old GSP who LOVES other dogs, running around the yard, and spending approximately 97% of her free time chewing on or playing with toys. 😂

She’s got energy. She’s got personality. And she needs a home that gets what a GSP is all about.

Maple is looking for an active home where she can run, play, explore and be the young, goofy GSP she is. She also does require lots of toys, she loves to play and chew, so that’s a must!

She’s ready for the good life. And after the way she started hers, we think she’s earned it.

Available for adoption: meet Ollie💙

You guys!!!! We have the most amazing, wonderful, gentle Labrador retriever available for adoption. He really is just an amazing guy!

Originally found as a stray in South Texas, Ollie didn’t know what human kindness and love meant. He only knew survival and what it took to stay alive as a street dog.

Well, thanks to an amazing foster home, Cane Rosso Rescue was able to step in and change all that for him. He has flourished in foster and is absolutely a 10/10, ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ amazing dog!

He is vaccinated, neutered, friendly and absolutely loves other dogs. His ideal home would have a dog friend for him in it. So if your dog needs a new bestie, Ollie could be a great match!

Available for adoption: meet Jake 💙

Cane Rosso Rescue family, honestly… whoever gets to call this guy theirs is one very lucky human. 💙

Jake is one of the two dogs we rescued from a gravel pit in the blazing Texas summer heat. Once he was safe, Jake immediately showed us what an incredible dog he is — sweet, grateful, resilient, and somehow still completely trusting of people.

Now? Jake has discovered the finer things in life.

Air conditioning. 🥹

Regular meals.

A soft place to sleep.

Toys.

Bully sticks.

And, most importantly, being loved.

His foster mom has done an amazing job helping Jake learn just how good life inside can be. And spoiler alert: he is VERY into it. He loves his toys, loves a good bully stick, and firmly believes he should be spoiled at all times. We happen to agree.

Jake is neutered, vaccinated, crate trained, potty trained, and walks well on leash. He has settled into his foster home surprisingly easily and is absolutely thriving.

But here’s the thing about Jake: he didn’t just survive living in a gravel pit. He came out of it still ready to love.

His adopter is going to get an amazing, loving, resilient dog who deserves the world — and is now looking for someone willing to give it to him.

Fair warning: Jake will probably think YOU are the lucky one.

And he’ll be right. 💙

Available for adoption: meet Aspen 🩷

This stunning lemon Pointer/Labrador mix came to Cane Rosso Rescue from a private owner surrender. Her mom sadly was losing her own home, and without secure housing, was desperate for an option for Aspen besides a shelter.

We always help where we can and we could definitely make moves to bring sweet Aspen in to rescue and find her a new home.

Aspen has been wonderful in foster. While initially pretty shy and wondering what the heck was happening, understandably, she pretty quickly got comfy and cozy with her foster mom and foster dog sister. She loves a good couch snuggle and treats seem to be her magic button to earning her trust.

She’s used to a home environment and we are seeing more and more of her loving and curious demeanor every day. She really likes other dogs and would do very well with one in her new home.
