Thank you TowneBank Mortgage for hosting Putting for a Purpose. With 80 players and sponsors, the Golf Outing generated proceeds to provide 12 seniors living without A/C free window units.

Most of us don't think twice about turning on the AC. But for seniors on fixed incomes, cooling their homes could mean skipping meals or missing medications. TowneBank got that. And they did something about it.

Thank you for proving that a morning on the golf course can change lives. Because it just did.

Five AC units on one of the hottest days of the summer.

That's what Lori Edwards, RE/MAX United and Jonathan Kane with REMAX United Raleigh delivered for Cool for Wake with Wake County Government . On a day when the heat was brutal, they showed up for five neighbors who needed relief.

This summer, because of you, families are sleeping safely instead of sweating through the night. Seniors are staying healthy. Vulnerable neighbors are getting the relief they need.
