Average cold email reply rates sit at 3.43%. LinkedIn views are down ~50% this year.
The answer isn't adding a third channel—it’s making your existing channels talk to each other.
When outbound gets crowded, the default reaction is to stack volume: more emails, more connection requests, more automation.
The prospect experiences this as being chased in two places at once, and ignores both.
Last week, I launched a integrated LinkedIn layer over an active cold email campaign targeting Australian consultancies.
Here is how we structured it for maximum signal, minimum noise:
1. Tight List Quality: Sales Navigator returned 4,086 leads. After strict eligibility checks, only 2,317 made the cut. We dropped 43% of the list before sending a single message.
2. Zero-Hype Sequence: 4 messages across 7 days. No links, no aggressive guarantees. Just one privacy-safe proof point from a similar UK campaign (11 positive replies, 2 meetings, 1 closed deal).
3. The Master Rule: A reply on EITHER channel immediately halts the other. If they reply via email, LinkedIn stops. If they reply on LinkedIn, email stops.
Multichannel outreach without this cross-channel suppression is just double the noise.
The data backs this up:
• Prospeo’s review of 44M sends shows campaigns under 50 recipients averaged a 5.8% reply rate vs 2.1% for lists over 1,000.
• Instantly’s 2026 data shows follow-ups account for 42% of total replies.
Small, tightly segmented lists + precise cross-channel orchestration beat raw volume every single time.
I’ll share the exact 30-day performance numbers of this campaign once it wraps—whatever the results are.
The teams that win over the next two years won't have more channels. They'll have channels that know about each other.

In this video I show you the five areas I check before changing the copy, replacing the list, increasing volume, or stopping the campaign, and the decisions I deliberately avoid making too early.

Ordered 1,743 new leads for a campaign extension.
Only 679 actually made it to the send queue. Here’s where the other 61% went:
• 409 were duplicates from Cycle 1 (346 same contacts, 63 same companies)
• 255 had missing email addresses
• 223 were lower-tier titles at companies already on the list
• 177 failed email verification
Final yield: ~39% of the order sheet.
Was the list a loss? No.
The 409 duplicates were routed into a dedicated, warm-domain re-touch sequence as a clear "second touch."
The hard lesson learned:
Never trust an exported spreadsheet for list deduplication.
Always suppress new lists directly against the live sending platform before calling them "net-new."
The order sheet is just a request. The suppressed, verified count is the real list.
How do you handle list hygiene before launching a new cycle?

Before I sign a client, we agree in writing on what a "qualified conversation" actually means.
Most agencies skip this. It’s the root of almost every client dispute.
Here is the exact definition from a recent deal:
It counts:
• Expresses interest
• Asks about pricing
• Asks how it works
• Requests a call
It does NOT count:
• Out-of-office replies
• "Not interested" or unsubscribes
• Anyone outside the target profile (no matter how senior)
The guarantee sits on top of this definition:
Fewer than 4 qualified conversations by Day 60? We run campaigns at zero extra cost until the 4th lands. The clock stops at Day 60 it doesn’t reset.
The client helped write that definition. That was the whole point.
When a reply comes in, neither of us has to debate whether it counts.
A guarantee without a definition is just an argument waiting to happen.
A definition without a guarantee is just a glossary.
You need both. And the definition comes first.
How do you define a "qualified lead" with your clients before launching?

The dashboard said 15.9% reply rate.
The real number was 8.4%.
Nothing was broken.
The dashboard simply divided replies by a specific subgroup of contacted leads.
The API counting everyone the campaign actually emailed gave a number half that size.
Both are technically "reply rates."
Only one belongs in a client report.
An 8.4% reply rate is a strong, successful campaign.
A 15.9% reply rate sets an expectation the next cycle can’t meet leaving you spending month three explaining a "decline" that never actually happened.
At Evaluake, our rule is simple:
• Report from raw data: We pull directly from the API, not the dashboard tile.
• Show the math: The exact formula always sits right next to the number.
• Focus on revenue metrics: Positive replies and booked calls stay above total replies because those are the only numbers a founder can take to the bank.
If an agency sends you a reply rate with no denominator, always ask for the denominator.
Are you tracking vanity metrics, or the numbers that actually drive pipeline? Let's discuss below.
5 Things I Check Before Changing a Cold Campaign
09/24/2026
1,352 emails. Zero opens, zero replies.
Normally that means rebuild the list.
But zero bounces too and that's what actually mattered.
A bad list bounces 5-15%. Zero means the data was fine.
Nobody was just... there.
Turned out we mailed UK schools right as summer break started.
Right people, wrong week.
So we didn't touch the list. Nobody opened it yet, so it's not burned it's just waiting.
Relaunching it in September like it's brand new.
Check the calendar before you check the copy.

Most B2B outreach campaigns don’t fail because the offer is bad.
They fail because the campaign gets abandoned before it produces enough data.
• A few days with low replies? The team changes the copy.
• Another quiet week? They change the target audience.
• A minor drop in metrics? They switch domains, tools, and overall strategy.
Nothing runs long enough to reveal what is actually working.
Consistency does not mean repeating a broken process. It means:
• Protecting deliverability
• Reaching the right buyers
• Testing one variable at a time
• Following up with context
• Reviewing the data every week
At Evaluake, we don’t chase random activity. We build systems that improve with every campaign and generate qualified conversations.
Are you improving your outreach with data, or just reacting to a few quiet days? Let's discuss in the comments!

Your dream won't build itself.
Every day, you’re either building your own dream or helping someone else build theirs.
Working a 9-to-5 is fine, but never let it become an excuse to abandon your personal goals.
How to start taking control:
• Dedicate time: Spend just 30–60 minutes daily on your vision.
• Build skills: Focus on high-value skills that scale your future.
• Take action: Test and launch before you feel 100% ready.
Remember: If you don’t build your dream, someone will hire you to build theirs.
