Since taking over Delaware Speedway, one of our goals has been to honor the people who helped build the foundation of this great track. Their hard work, dedication, and passion made it possible for generations of racers and families to enjoy Saturday nights at the Big D.

On Saturday, July 25, we are proud to induct these individuals into the Delaware Speedway Hall of Fame

Harlan Bond – Original landowner and one of the visionaries who helped make Delaware Speedway a reality.

Bob Schulte – Instrumental in connecting Harlan Bond with Bill Rieken, helping establish the future of the speedway.

Fred Deshaw – Played a key role in building the track and was a tireless ambassador for Delaware Speedway, promoting at parades and community events.

George & Corky Clausen – Legendary engine builders and true patriarchs of Midwest karting whose influence reached far beyond Delaware Speedway.

Tom Krause – The definition of dedication. He did whatever it took to get the track ready each week, arriving early, staying late, and always lending a hand wherever it was needed.

Please join us as we recognize the past & 2026 Hall of Fame members for their lasting contributions to Delaware Speedway and the sport of karting. Their legacy continues to live on every race night.

First night of the season tonight @ Dubuque. Mark starts 6th in the 1st heat!

We will not be racing at Independence tonight. Jeep is participating in his first junior high track meet. Wish our crew chief luck!! Run fast and turn left 😎

We're ready to kick off our 2026 season! Our plan is to race Independence and Dubuque pretty much weekly and specials around our area pending kids ball schedules. We have to thank our GREAT sponsors who are 2nd to none in what they do.
