The drum starts, the cymbals crash, and then the lion comes around the corner. Behind that moment lies nearly two thousand years of history, from Silk Road gifts to kung fu schools to Lunar New Year festivals around the world.
This year, you can go where it all began! On our Lion Dance Tour, you'll train in Teng County, home of the country's only dragon and lion dance major, and learn to bring the lion to life yourself.
Birth city visits are available upon request and can be booked before or after the trip. Tap into your roots through The Park Adoption Community Center’s China Heritage Tours!

Fair warning: if there's music playing, REI is going to be dancing!
She's the newest kid in our hosting program. REI is 12 years old, and she's a joy to get to know. She makes friends easily with kids and adults alike, settles into new places without missing a beat, and treats everyone around her with kindness. Tell her there's a family outing coming up or a special dinner on the menu, and her smile says it all.
We're looking for a family to host REI this December 7–28, and hosting could be the first step toward the permanent family she deserves.
Come meet REI and the rest of the kids in the Made to Shine Colombia Hosting Program: https://ccaifamily.org/colombian-host-child-profiles/

As Su***de Prevention Awareness Month comes to a close, we're sharing our September Adoptive Parent Support newsletter, created to help families care for the hearts and minds of the adoptees they love.
Inside, you'll find what the research tells us, signs to watch for, words that make hard conversations a little easier, and trusted places to turn for support. The awareness month may be ending, but this kind of care matters every day of the year.

Happy Mid-Autumn Festival from all of us at CCAI! 🌕
Tonight the moon is at its fullest and brightest, and families all over the world are gathering to look up at it together. It's a holiday all about reunion, so we're thinking of the many CCAI families with children from China and the beautiful ways you've made this celebration part of your family's story.
If mooncakes are on your list this year, our co-founder Lily Nie shared her family-friendly recipe, and our staff can confirm they're delicious. Grab a mold, pick your favorite filling, and let the little ones help pinch and press.
Get Lily's recipe here: https://ccaifamily.org/mid-autumn-festival/
We'd love to see your celebrations. Share a photo of your mooncakes, lanterns, or moon-gazing in the comments. 🥮

13-year-old EVO is waiting for what every child deserves: a family to call his own.
Over the years, EVO has watched many friends take part in hosting and then leave Colombia to join their adoptive families. EVO has celebrated every one of them, and now he's is starting to wonder when a family will come for him.
EVO is energetic and affectionate, with a warm heart and a naturally positive outlook. More than anything, he hopes for a loving family to know and cherish him.
We are making a special plea for EVO. Would your family consider hosting him with adoption in mind and becoming the family he has been waiting for?

ALE (17), MAN (11), and DAH (9) are siblings who want to stay together. Because ALE will soon age out, a family needs to come forward now to keep that possible.
ALE is resilient, kind, and respectful, always looking out for the people he loves. MAN is affectionate, easygoing, and quick to make friends wherever he goes. DAH is cheerful and expressive, bringing her own creative spin to everything she does.
Imagine ALE, MAN, and DAH gathered around a table on holiday morning, wrapped in the noise and warmth of a family that's theirs.
Could your family be the one to give ALE, MAN, and DAH a season to remember this winter, and a future together? To learn more about CCAI's Made to Shine hosting program, and meet the kids, click here->

MAN is a natural leader at school who loves football and swimming. DAH is affectionate and dedicated, building discipline through skating and swimming.
