Small Group Experience: To create a supportive, welcoming environment, all One Root programs are limited to 10–12 participants. Small groups allow us to build meaningful relationships, provide individualized support, and ensure everyone feels included. Because space is limited, we encourage registering early.

Scholarships Available: We believe every child deserves access to our programs. If cost is a barrier, select the Pay What You Can option or email [email protected]. No child will be turned away due to financial need.

Everyone Belongs: One Root welcomes and celebrates people of all races, cultures, ethnicities, abilities, neurotypes, gender identities, sexual orientations, family structures, and faith backgrounds. If you or your child would benefit from accommodations, please let us know on the registration form. We’re happy to work with you whenever possible.

Our first week of Rooted Stories was so special!

Our theme for the week was “Know Me.” On Monday, we explored our identities, and on Wednesday, we focused on our families. Through read-alouds, art, meaningful conversations, and time spent around the table sharing a yummy meal, we learned more about ourselves and one another.

Next week, our theme is “Understand Me.” We’ll explore our feelings, needs, and experiences through literacy, art, and connection.

Our first Rooted Stories group is officially full, but applications are still open for future groups! Our next group will begin in November.

Crafts, Slime, & Sensory Play is for EVERYONE!

Join us at One Root Collective for a FREE community event filled with creativity, hands-on fun, and sensory experiences for all ages.

And when we say all ages, we mean it!

This isn’t just an event for little kids. We’ll have activities that younger kids, older kids, teens, AND adults can enjoy. Sensory play can be fun, calming, creative, satisfying, or just a great excuse to get your hands messy.

Explore at your own pace and choose whatever feels good to you:

Create at our open craft stations, make your own slime at the slime bar, explore hands-on sensory activities and different textures, try out fidgets and sensory tools, take a break in our calm & cozy space, enjoy music and community.

There is no pressure to participate in everything, and there is no “right” way to enjoy the event. Create something, make slime, find a new favorite fidget, sit somewhere cozy, or simply hang out with us.

The families and staff at DPW were so welcoming, and we loved getting to connect with families and share more about two of our upcoming programs: Rooted Stories and the CU Youth Council.
