Posting your business in a Facebook group is marketing.
It isn’t networking.
Networking happens when people get to know you.
They learn whether you show up.
Whether you follow through.
How you treat people.
What kind of work you do.
And whether they feel comfortable putting their reputation on the line by recommending you.
A post I saw tonight reminded me just how important that is.
Facebook is great for visibility, but visibility without trust only gets you so far.
If you want people to remember your business, recommend your business and advocate for your business, start building relationships.
That’s what we’ve been doing at SEVEN Networking for 17 years.
People need people. And businesses do too. 🧡

That’s what networking is really about. It may start with a business card, a meeting, or a conversation, but when you take the time to truly get to know people, business relationships can become lifelong friendships.
Referrals matter. Business matters. But the relationships we build along the way matter even more.
People need people. We need connection, encouragement, support, laughter, and people who genuinely want to see us succeed.
