Saturday, October 10th, 2026

11 am to 1 pm

Wannamaker County Park (North Charleston) Cottonwood Shelter

This picnic is a special opportunity for children with hearing loss and their families to connect with one another and enjoy a fun fall afternoon together! Lunch, crafts and activities will be provided! We will also have representatives from hearing technology manufacturers and information about state and local resources for families.

We made it to the moon! 🌙 We learned all about outer space, rockets, astronauts, and aliens on our trip to the moon! 🚀🪐☄️👨‍🚀We ended our week with a big celebration and a Brunch and Learn for our parents. Thank you so much to Mt. Pleasant Sertoma for sponsoring the best week of the year! A huge thank you to all of the staff, volunteers, and campers for making our week so special! 🤗

Camp Communication 2026 week is still going strong! On Tuesday and Wednesday, we learned about rockets 🚀 and our solar system! We enjoyed our bomb popsicles, played musical planets 🪐, built rockets, and had a rocket launching competition! Today, we had a special guest, the South Carolina State Planetarium! We got to explore outer space while learning about constellations and the different planets! ☄️👩‍🚀🌌

The GREATEST week of the year has finally arrived! Camp Communication 2026 kicked off yesterday! ☀️🚀🌎⭐️

Earth Day was a great way to start our Monday! We learned all about the earth and its layers while preparing our trip to the moon! 🌙 We had a special guest, local meteorologist, Dave Williams, join us to talk about the weather and earth’s atmosphere!

Our team shared 7 presentations, moderated numerous sessions, participated in panels, and engaged in many thoughtful discussions about how we can improve care for all of our amazing patients that we serve!

We even cheered on the Chicago Cubs and watched them win in extra innings!

See ya Chicago, and on to sunny San Diego next year for CI2027 😎
