At just 35 pounds, I like to think I’m the perfect “fun-sized” package. Big enough for adventures, small enough to fit just about anywhere, and packed with enough personality to keep you smiling every day. 😀

Not too long ago, I was abandoned in a yard, underweight, dealing with skin issues, and wondering what would happen next.

You’d never know it now.

Despite everything, I’ve held onto my happy-go-lucky outlook on life. I love people, love other dogs, love the water, and wake up every day ready for whatever fun comes next. Whether it’s a walk, a beach day, a car ride, or simply hanging out with my people, I’m all in.

I’m 3 years old and was a favorite among the volunteers at the Darlington shelter before Journey Home Rescue Alliance rescued me. They loved my goofy spirit, sweet personality, and the way I could brighten anyone’s day.

Now I’m thriving in foster care where I’ve proven to be potty trained, crate trained, affectionate, and eager to learn. I know “sit,” have excellent recall, and I’m working hard on my leash skills.

I am heartworm positive and will begin treatment on July 7th and 8th, but that’s only a small part of my story.

The important part? I’m a happy, loving girl looking for a family of my own.

I’ve already overcome the hard part. Now I just need someone to choose me. ❤️

Meet Cowboy.

Cowboy is 68 pounds of pure devotion wrapped in a ridiculously good-looking package. At just one year old, he’s mastered the art of being exactly where you are at all times. Bathroom? He’s your supervisor. Watching TV? He’s your co-star. Cooking dinner? He’s conducting quality control.

His hobbies include:
• Giving you his paw when he feels you’re not paying enough attention
• Collecting belly rubs
• Following his people everywhere
• Looking incredibly handsome without even trying

What he doesn’t care much about? Toys.

What he does care about? You.

Cowboy sleeps through the night, is potty trained, walks nicely on a leash, and gets along well with other dogs. He’d do best with older children simply because his enthusiasm occasionally comes out in the form of “LET ME HUG YOU WITH MY ENTIRE BODY.” 🐾

He has energy to burn and would love a yard where he can stretch his legs, but at the end of the day, his favorite place is wherever his people are.

I came from a shelter where I was out of time, underweight, heartworm positive, and trying so hard to stay quiet that the world almost forgot I was even there. I raised my babies there. I survived what I shouldn’t have had to survive. And somehow… I got a second chance. ❤️

Now I’m Macy.

I am a sweet, low key girl who prefers sunbathing over sprinting and a cozy bed over chaos. I’m crate trained, potty trained, and house trained, though I’ll admit I can be tempted if you leave something tasty on the counter. I live for slow strolls around the block and even more for quiet company. I’m doing really well with my playful foster sister, but honestly I’d rather cuddle than wrestle. My tail stays wagging when people are kind to me, and I soak up praise like it’s my job.

Before we begin, let’s get something out of the way:

This is not one of those “perfect angel puppy” posts.

This is a Great Pyrenees puppy post. 😅

And if you know the breed, you’re already laughing.

Prince Florian is 11 months old and 65 lbs. He is sweet, handsome, affectionate, potty trained, loves people, and takes his role as protector of his sister very seriously. He’s living his best free-range farm life with small dogs, cats, and other dogs and does wonderfully with them.

Now for the fine print…

Prince Florian believes fences are merely suggestions. A 4-foot fence? Cute.

He’s currently in his puppy chewing era. If left unsupervised, he’ll happily help redecorate your home one chew toy… or table leg… at a time.

He has opinions. Lots of them.

He counter surfs with the confidence of someone who pays the mortgage.

He has a healthy prey drive for deer and foxes because apparently protecting the kingdom is a full-time job.🦊

The good news? He respects the Halo Satellite Fence and responds well to structure when it’s actually provided.

Prince Florian isn’t a bad dog. Not even close.

He’s actually a very typical young Great Pyrenees who needs what young Great Pyrenees always need: boundaries, consistency, supervision, training, and someone who understands that giant fluffy dogs do not magically train themselves.

We’re looking for a foster or adopter with breed experience who can help this handsome prince continue learning how to be a well-mannered member of society.

If you’ve ever looked at a stubborn livestock guardian dog and thought, “Challenge accepted,” Prince Florian may be your soulmate.

LIFE IS SWEETER WITH SUGAR 🐾
Sugar is just like her name — sweet, comforting, and impossible not to love. 🍬

This adorable 2-year-old low-rider mixed breed is the whole package: house trained, crate trained, calm in the home, and happiest curled up close to her person soaking up pets and cuddles. She’s the kind of dog who will quietly follow you from room to room just to be near you.

Outside, Sugar stays close in the yard and, once she feels safe, enjoys exploring at her own pace. She gets along well with dogs her size, though rowdy big puppy energy isn’t really her style — she’s more “sweet tea on the porch” than “energy drink at a frat party.” If another dog gets too wild, she’ll politely let them know to simmer down.

Sugar currently enjoys a mix of Pedigree kibble and canned food, and she happily follows the lead of the resident dogs.

Last night, sadly the runt of the litter Jake, passed away with congenital kidney failure. 💔 Jake was so so loved by his foster’s and all he ever knew was that. We are deeply sadden for his foster’s, and for Jake.

In Jake’s honor, and memory, we are seeking the best homes for his siblings. 💕

For 7 weeks; these babies have been in foster care with an amazing momma & foster’s ensuring they all were thriving and healthy. This family came from a rural shelter, where they would have been euthanized and when they came to us, they battled one obstacle after another.

The pups are 8 weeks old. They are your typical LOVING, sweet and happy pups. They are in foster with kids, furry siblings and all types of other humans. They are well rounded and ready to bring a lifetime of joy to YOU.
