🌷 TULIP — THE FLOWER THAT HASN’T QUITE BLOOMED YET 🌷
Tulip is a flower. Technically.
She just… hasn’t bloomed yet.
She’s a little weird. A little awkward. A little feral. And before you accuse us of being mean, ask our vet. 😂
Tulip needs a calm, patient foster home with someone who understands that she is not going to meet you and immediately decide you’re best friends. In fact, she’s probably going to be terrified of you.
And that’s okay.
She has made SO many breakthroughs with us. She’s warmed up to several people. She’s walking on a leash. She’s learning that humans aren’t actually that terrible. But now she needs to take everything she’s learned here and generalize it to real life.
That means she needs someone willing to give her time.
Someone who isn’t going to give up if she hides.
Someone who won’t force affection.
Someone who can provide a quiet, predictable lifestyle and let Tulip bloom on her own schedule.
Oh—and preferably someone who is a strong proponent of metal leashes, because Tulip would like everyone to know that nylon leashes are apparently a snack. 🙃
She doesn’t need perfection. She needs patience, consistency, and a person who will stick it out.
Tulip has already shown us that she can make progress.
Now somebody needs to give her the chance to keep making it.
🌷 Somebody needs to pick Tulip ♥️

🐻 This is Bear. Bear doesn’t like to make friends
And quite frankly, we don’t really see why that’s such a big deal.
Bear grew up with a brother that was kind of a jerk
He tormented him constantly and their old owners left them in kennels outside next to each other all day
He couldn't get away from him ...or the bullying 💔
So that's all he has ever known
Bear is a particular guy. He’s friendly with people. He likes people. But dogs? Come on, man. They’re obnoxious. They’re in your space. They want to sniff you. They want to play. They have absolutely no concept of personal boundaries.
Bear would simply like to opt out.
Not everybody needs two dogs. Some people can have ONE dog and live a perfectly happy, fulfilling life. Bear would actually prefer it that way.
And no, Bear isn’t looking to bust through the front door, run three streets over, and start a neighborhood dog war. He just doesn’t want to live with another dog. That’s it.
Not everybody wants a roommate. Some of us would prefer a peaceful, solo lifestyle where nobody touches our stuff, eats our snacks, or breathes too loudly beside us.
So, are you an old, crotchety hermit who also enjoys having your own space? Bear might be your soulmate.
Maybe you love having people over but have absolutely zero interest in turning your house into doggy daycare. Perfect. Bear gives you a built-in excuse:
“Sorry, my dog doesn’t really like other dogs.”
And just like that, nobody is bringing their dog to your house.
Bear is ready to embrace the only-child lifestyle. He just needs somebody who understands that being selective about your roommates is not a character flaw. 😂🐻❤️
Now the important stuff ...
Bear is a year old
Fully vetted, neutered and microchipped

🚨CAROLINE NEEDS A FOSTER / ADOPTER ASAP🚨
Meet Caroline — a fun-loving, spontaneous girl who enjoys doing her own thing and apparently believes fences are merely a suggestion. 😂
Caroline can climb an EIGHT-FOOT VERTICAL FENCE with approximately zero thoughts behind her eyes. One second she’s there, the next she’s up and over before you can even process what just happened.
🐶 Good with other dogs
👧 Good with kids
🐱 Not too great with cats
🏃♀️ Active, adventurous, and always ready to go
🧗♀️ Professional fence climber.. training for the wall on
American Ninja warrior
Because of her impressive athletic abilities, Caroline would actually do best in an active home that does NOT rely on a fenced yard for containment. Leash walks, adventures, hiking, structured exercise — absolutely. Tossing her in the backyard and assuming an eight-foot fence will keep her there? Caroline says, “Watch this.”
She'd be a great match for someone who loves their pitties, wants an active companion, and appreciates a dog with a little ✨chaos✨ in her personality.
We need a foster or adopter ASAP. Our facility doesn't have enough covered runs to safely accommodate our resident escape artist, so Caroline needs to get out of here and into somebody else's house!
Please share and help us find Caroline somewhere to land. ❤️

We don’t say things like this often because we don’t like to assume a dog’s history when we weren’t there to witness it.
But today, we’re going to talk about what Lacey is showing us.
This is Lacey. 💔
We recently discovered that Lacey is absolutely terrified of yelling, sudden movements, and people quickly approaching someone she’s sitting beside.
If she’s relaxing on the couch with someone and another person suddenly rushes toward them, Lacey becomes defensive. If voices are raised in the room, she panics.
And then, almost immediately, that defensiveness turns into pure fear.
She cowers. She shakes. She tries to make herself small. She has even become so terrified that she urinates on herself.
We cannot know exactly what happened to Lacey before she came to us, and we never want to pretend that we do. But her reactions are significant, and they are consistent with a dog who may have been exposed to frightening conflict, yelling, or violence in the home.
Whatever happened before us, Lacey is telling us very clearly that certain human behaviors scare the hell out of her.
So now we help her.
Lacey is working with our trainers and will likely be with us for a while as we work on carefully desensitizing her to raised voices, sudden movements, and people approaching her person. We want her to learn that movement doesn’t mean something bad is about to happen and that she doesn’t have to defend herself or the person beside her.
She deserves to feel safe.
If you would like to donate toward Lacey’s care and rehabilitation, we could really use the support. ❤️
And if you happen to have a calm, quiet household and enough patience and understanding to love a dog who may need a little extra time to believe that she’s safe, maybe Lacey is meant for you.
For now, she’s got us.
And we’re going to give her all the time she needs. 🐾❤️

So our friends over at STAB Rescue made a pretty interesting and slightly controversial post about Tommy not liking men… and
Missy would just like to chime in and say:
BRO, SAME. 😂
While Missy is a little more tolerant of men than Tommy, if she had it her way, she would simply prefer… no men at all.
Missy is, unfortunately, a professional misandrist. 💅
Can she warm up to men? Absolutely. Can she love a man once she trusts him? Yep! But it takes her significantly longer to trust men than women, and if Missy got to fill out her own adoption application, she'd probably check:
☑️ Woman
☑️ Two women
☑️ Lovely le***an couple
❌ Some random dude trying to be her best friend on Day 1
And honestly, our friends at STAB made a really good point: sometimes in rescue, you just have to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.
Missy's truth is that men just aren't really her thing.
She's been waiting for over a year for someone to choose her, and she's not asking for much. Missy is a homebody. She doesn't need to be the dog going to breweries, festivals, and family reunions every weekend. She'd be perfectly happy staying home, existing peacefully in her little world, and loving her people with her entire heart.
Actually, she'll probably love you so much that eventually you'll be like, Missy… please. I am literally just trying to go to the bathroom.
So if you were considering Tommy and that handsome man-hater gets scooped up first, Missy would like to formally submit her application as
"Next Professional Misandrist in Line™.
She's looking for a patient, loving home—preferably with a woman or women—who will give her the time she needs to settle in, trust, and realize she's finally home.
She's waited more than a year.
Surely there are a couple of ladies out there who need a slightly judgmental homebody who will eventually become completely obsessed with them. 😂
