Another great night at King’s Table Bible Study! 📖✨

Our presentations continued, and each group took us deeper into the Word by helping us understand the meaning, history, and significance behind what we’ve read and learned.

🌿 The Levites — Sister Michelle and Sister Ania took a deeper look into who the Levites really were, where they came from, and the history behind their unique place among the tribes of Israel. We learned about their lineage through Levi, how their story developed throughout Scripture, and how they eventually became a tribe set apart for service to God. Understanding their background gave us greater insight into why the Levites held such an important role among God’s people.

🍞 The Feasts of the Lord — Elder Yolanda and Sister Valerie explored the sacred feasts and appointed times God established for Israel. We learned that these gatherings were more than celebrations—they were opportunities to remember God’s provision, deliverance, faithfulness, and covenant with His people. Each feast carried its own purpose and reminded Israel of what God had done and their relationship with Him.

🐑 Animals of the Old Testament — Elder Debra and Sister Sydney took a closer look at the role animals played in tithing, offerings, sacrifices, and worship. We learned about the animals commonly used, what made certain animals acceptable, and how the firstborn and every tenth animal held special significance. We also saw how giving to God was intentional and that what was set apart for Him was considered holy.

Each presentation reminded us that there is so much more to discover when we slow down and study the history, context, and purpose behind Scripture.

At King’s Table, we’re not just reading the Word—we’re studying it, understanding it, and digging deeper together! 📖💜✝️

📖 Bible Study Presentations

The Storehouse ✝️

Elder Delcia taught us about the storehouse in the Old Testament, where grain, w**e, oil, tithes, and offerings were stored to provide for the work of God and those in need.

We also learned how the storehouse connects to the church today—a house of prayer, place of divine provision, refuge for the broken, and place of spiritual growth. 🙌🏾

🌾 Fruits & Crops of the Old Testament 🍇🫒

Sister Ivy and Brother Zavier taught us how grapes, olives, figs, wheat, barley, and pomegranates were valuable parts of everyday life in ancient Israel and represented God’s provision, abundance, and blessing. We learned that Old Testament tithing included more than money—Israelites gave from the increase of their land, including grain, w**e, oil, and other produce.

They also explained the difference between tithes and firstfruits and how giving from the harvest was a way for God’s people to honor Him and acknowledge Him as the source of their provision.

First Sunday of October ✝️ There’s no better way to begin a new month than in the presence of God. 💜🙌🏾✨

Word of the Day:
When God Commands You to Move Forward

Scripture: 2 Kings 5: 1-14

1. Unexpected Guidance:
• God uses diverse messengers (children, friends, co-workers) to provide direction.
• Example: Servant girl’s advice to Naaman (2 Kings 5: 8).
2. Overcoming Pride:
• Pride hinders progress and blessings.
• A bad attitude or misplaced spirit of expectancy can block divine intervention.
3. The Power of Obedience:
• Miracles are contingent on obedience, not external factors.
• Naaman’s initial resistance to Elisha’s instruction highlights the struggle with obedience.
• Sometimes, a blessing is one prayer away or one act of obedience away.
4. Personal Leprosy
• Everyone faces personal leprosy, metaphorical challenges, like fear, disappointment, or other hindrances.
• These internal struggles, require us to be willing to move forward as commended by God.
