𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗱𝗼 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀.

ABC Carolinas joined North Carolina leaders and the ABC National Government Affairs team to talk about the issues that matter to our industry: fair competition, a strong skilled workforce, and an economy where merit shop contractors can compete, grow and create opportunity.

This is what advocacy looks like—bringing the voice and perspective of Carolina contractors into the conversations that matter.

Thank you to the members who joined the conversation and continue to help us move the industry forward.

𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗱?

Last week, ABC Carolinas members had the opportunity to sit across the table from U.S. Senate Candidate Michael Whatley, and Laurie Buckhout, Candidate for North Carolina’s 1st Congressional District.

These conversations matter because construction policy is business policy—from workforce and regulations to taxes, energy and the cost of doing business. These conversations are about more than politics. They’re about protecting the merit shop philosophy, supporting free enterprise, and making sure policymakers understand what it takes to build, hire, train and grow in the Carolinas.

ABC’s role is to make sure our industry is in the conversation, our members’ concerns are heard, and policymakers understand what construction businesses are facing.

That’s the value of having a seat at the table.

🎉 Congratulations to ABC Carolinas Board Member Lee Nabors of Precision Walls, Inc. on being named one of Columbia Business Monthly’s 2026 Best & Brightest 35 & Under!

This recognition celebrates emerging leaders throughout the Midlands who are making a meaningful impact in their industries and communities.

We’re proud to see Lee recognized for his leadership and contributions to the construction industry, and we congratulate him as he celebrates this achievement at tonight’s Best & Brightest Awards Reception in Columbia.

Congratulations, Lee, from all of us at ABC Carolinas! 👏
