The SHOUTING STONES Newsletter - August 21, 2026 Email from First-Centenary UMC August 21, 2026 | Issue: 711 A weekly newsletter for students, parents, and volunteers of First-Centenary United Methodist Church in downtown Chattanooga, Tennessee.

We had our back to school bash this past Sunday and it was so much fun! The youth had a great time getting covered in color and spending time together! It was a great way to start off the school year!! (Don’t ask how long it took them to wash off the powder…)

Wednesday night youth starts back THIS Wednesday and we could not be more excited!! Get ready for another year of fun, friendship, and Jesus! We’re so excited to see y’all back this year, let us know if you’re coming to youth TOMORROW!
Will you be at youth tomorrow night?

Sunday! Meet at the Student Center at 12 for a ride up to Camp Lookout or meet us there! Wear white and get ready for some fun!

Last week was middle school mission week at and it was such a good week! Our students had the best time doing mission work, camp activities and worshiping together every day! It was also so fun to get to see our other students at the R.I.S.E academy that week! Thank you to all the youth leaders, camp directors, and counselors making the week the best one yet!!

Senior retreat was a success! Had such a good time hanging at the beach together and getting great sunburns! Excited to send these seniors off on their next adventure

Wednesdays are still around but THEMED! Join us one of these Wednesdays for fun and fellowship!

6.17 - oh you thought this was graduation? Or a band concert? Or soccer game? It’s actually YOUTH! Dress up for the wrong event instead of youth!

6.24 - we will provide the white shirts and you bring a white lie like…youth isn’t my favorite day of the week! (We all know it is!)

7.15 - show up in your favorite decade and maybe make Tiffany feel old!

7.29 - dress up as your favorite youth leader or chaperone!

TRIPLE P is BACK this summer! See ABOVE for dates and activities!! We’re having fun, we’re praying, we’re pigging out, and we’re playing games !! SEE YOU THERE 🫵🙏
