Cheney High School Bands

Are you getting excited? We are! After months of planning we are ready for our communities to come together for a fun filled day. What could be better than drinking coffee, walking among classic cars, marketplace vendors, listening to the splashes of the dunk tank, enjoying some amazing food and watching your CHS Marching Band and Color Guard perform? We will see you at CHS next Saturday from 11-3pm.

Can you believe it? We are only 3 WEEKS away from our 4th Annual Community Day. We have so many great marketplace and food vendors ready for you. Our dunk tank is filling up by the day. The classic cars are revved and ready to go. Our band is practicing hard to give you the best performance ever. All we need is YOU!

Here is a photo dump from our past few days of pictures!!! Friday we had pictures from Ryan our baritone section leader, Saturday we had Stephenny one of our color guard section leaders, and today we had Hannah our saxophone section leader. That our first spirit day, dress like your water bottle.

Our front ensemble section leader Cora was able to snag a few pictures yesterday. We had a little snake join us during full ensemble. And our new speakers are up and running on freshly modified carts! Thank you Troy at VIP Production Northwest for helping us pick out and setting up our new system! It sounds great! And thank you to our local metal fabricator Tyson, who also custom made our sound cart last summer, for the very quick cart modifications this past weekend!

From the lens of our mellophone section leader, Hans, here are some shots from camp today!

Stuck inside all day, but our tuba section leader Henry still got some photos! First day with the full group, can’t wait until next week!

Today’s camp views brought to you by Junior Drum Major Sophia!

Day one in the books for our percussion section and color guard! Photos today brought to you by senior drum major, Addison!!

We are actively looking for a few more people to join our marching band staff this season! Specifically, we are looking for an audio tech, a color guard tech, and a winds tech (brass and/or woodwind, potentially multiple wind tech openings). Please apply at the link below and don’t hesitate to reach out to Josh Wisswell at [email protected] if you have any questions.
