Forecasted rainfall for this week! We sure need it!

I got my lime down yesterday and will plan to spread my grass seed tomorrow! ☀️
We have BOTH available for sale here at Green Ridge Farms!

Pelleted lime: 40 # $7.95
Grass seed: KY31&annual rye blend : 50 # $69.95

We've learned that 1- 50lb bag of grass seed will overseed 2 acres or will cover 1 acre if starting fresh!

Lime will help control those pesky weeds and will promote grass growth!

Happy planting! 🌾🌾🌾🌾🌾🌾

Beautiful day for baling BERMUDA hay!

Cameron still has some corn stalks available for your fall decorations! $10 per bundle 🌽
That are really tall, really full and really beautiful!
They have been stored standing up and under cover 💛

🌾 A LITTLE HAY PRICING CLARIFICATION 🌾

We’ve had a few questions about the recent announcement regarding hay relief in Virginia, so we wanted to explain what this means for our customers in simple terms.

The state’s emergency action is intended to help make it easier to transport hay during the current shortage. It does not mean that the cost of hay itself is being reduced or that hay suppliers are suddenly selling it for less.

Unfortunately, the cost of getting hay here has not gone down. The dealers and suppliers we purchase from have been very consistent with their pricing, despite the current shortage and difficult conditions.

We also want our customers to know that we have NOT added a surcharge or additional “hay shortage” fee to our hay. The price you see from us reflects what it costs us to purchase and bring that hay here.

We know hay is expensive right now, and we understand that it puts a strain on horse owners and livestock families. We are doing our best to keep our pricing as fair and consistent as possible while continuing to keep hay available for our customers. 🐴

As always, we are so grateful for you! We appreciate everyone who supports our family-owned farm and store. We have always and will always try to provide you with the best product and customer service! And we will always be transparent about our pricing. Thanks for supporting us!

We have some BEAUTIFUL hay in stock right now. Some local- some from NY- some from Maryland! There is something for everyone in the barn.

We’re all hoping for better weather, better hay crops, and lower prices ahead! ☀️🐴🌾

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out! 757-421-3114
