Following Jesus
Becoming Like Him
Doing What He Did
What is the storm telling you right now? The enemy uses our pain to plant doubt, but every lie the storm speaks has already been answered by Jesus at Calvary. Your circumstances don't define God's character. www.refreshchurchcc.com

Why do we serve? A missionary's discouragement turns to peace when he remembers one simple truth: this world is not our final destination. When we fix our eyes on Jesus and eternity, the temporary applause of this world loses its power. www.refreshchurchcc.com
Stop rushing God. A life surrendered to His timing will never wait in vain. Learn what Simeon discovered about patience, faith, and the peace that comes from trusting God's plan. www.refreshchurchcc.com

When people arrive early before service starts to seek the Lord in prayer. Special moments!

Sunday is almost here and we can't wait to worship with you!
Eighteen inches. That is the distance from your head to your heart, and it might be the most important journey you ever take.
Think about Samuel. He grew up in the temple. He wore the priestly garments. He served faithfully under Eli. By every outward measure, he was doing everything right. And yet, when God called out to Him in the night, Samuel did not recognize His voice. The Bible says plainly that Samuel did not yet know the Lord. That is a sobering thought. You can be surrounded by the right environment, doing the right things, and still not truly know God in a personal, heart-level way. Religious activity and genuine relationship are not the same thing. Maybe you have been there. You know the verses. You know the theology. But somewhere along the way, it stayed in your head and never quite made it to your heart. That is okay.
Recognizing the gap is actually the first step toward closing it. God is not looking for perfect knowledge. He is looking for an open heart. And the good news is that He is still calling, just like He called Samuel, patiently and personally, waiting for you to recognize His voice. You are not too far gone. You are not too intellectual, too skeptical, or too stuck. The journey from your head to your heart is one God wants to walk with you.
Now Samuel did not yet know the Lord, and the word of the Lord had not yet been revealed to Him. - 1 Samuel 3:7
Don't let the world write your beliefs for you. If you're unclear about what you stand for, the world will gladly fill in the blanks with its own agenda. Pause and reflect: Is your intellect building your faith or leaving you defenseless?
