The City is gearing up for Celebrate Wildwood tomorrow, Saturday, September 19, as we celebrate Wildwood’s 31st birthday with our community!

Yesterday, the City shared information about the Lafayette High School Homecoming Parade, which will take place this evening, Friday, September 18, at 5:30 p.m. More information about that parade and its associated road closures is available on the homepage of the City’s website.

With multiple parades taking place in Wildwood this weekend, the City wanted to share some information about the Celebrate Wildwood Parade and associated road closures so residents and visitors can plan ahead and hopefully join us for the fun!

🎈 Celebrate Wildwood Parade
📅 Saturday, September 19
⏰ 10:00 a.m. to approximately 11:15 a.m.

Planned Road Closures:
• Manchester Road, from Schnucks Wildwood Crossing to Village Hills Parkway
• Taylor Road, from Dierbergs Town Center to Manchester Road
• Main Street, from Taylor Road to Fountain Place
• Fountain Place, from Main Street to the roundabout on Fountain Place Drive

The parade will begin near Schnucks Wildwood Crossing and travel west on Manchester Road, north on Taylor Road, west on Main Street, and north on Fountain Place before dispersing near the roundabout.

🚗 Residents: Please Plan Ahead

Residents living off Cherry Hills Meadows Drive and Old Fairway Drive will need to use Old State Road to enter and exit their neighborhoods during the parade. Access to Manchester Road from these residential streets will be unavailable during the parade.

For residents living off Village Hills Parkway, access to and from the neighborhood will remain available during the parade. However, traffic will be temporarily limited, and residents should expect it to take longer than usual to enter or leave the neighborhood. Traffic officers will be stationed at the roundabout and will periodically allow traffic to enter and exit Village Hills Parkway. Residents should plan ahead and allow additional travel time.

A message board has been placed near the parade route, and police officers will be on site to manage traffic and assist motorists.

Roads are expected to begin reopening around 11:15 a.m., as the parade concludes and traffic conditions allow. Motorists should plan ahead, allow extra travel time, expect brief delays, and follow the directions of traffic officers.

August 2026 Local Housing Market Update

Average sale prices increased across all three areas compared with August 2025:

St. Louis City: $284,558, up 14.8%
St. Louis County: $443,485, up 13.7%
St. Charles County: $402,162, up 2.7%

Sales declined in the City and County, while St. Charles saw a 4.2% increase in homes sold. New listings decreased across all three areas. Months of inventory rose in the City and County but fell in St. Charles, highlighting differences within our local market.
