When was the last time you read a book out loud to a child?

Reading aloud creates connection, sparks imagination, builds vocabulary, strengthens listening skills, and supports emotional development!!

Children who are read to often develop a deeper love for learning and literacy. The moments shared through stories can become lifelong memories.

“A child who loves to read will be an adult who thinks.”

Pick up a book today and share the gift of reading.

Reading doesn’t have one look, one age, or one path.

In this moment, I’m watching my teenagers dive into what speaks to them. One is lost in anime, the other deep in history. Different interests, same beautiful outcome—curiosity, imagination, and growth.

This is your reminder that reading at every age matters. It builds confidence, expands perspective, and creates space for young people to discover who they are.

Let them explore what they love. Let them read what excites them. That’s where the magic happens!!

Currently reading… 📚✨ and we couldn’t be more excited for our Black History Month kickoff!

This February ✊🏽, our scholars are diving into powerful stories that celebrate identity, resilience, leadership, and Black joy.

From The Only Black Girls in Town to Black Boy Joy and more, each book opens the door to meaningful conversations, confidence building, and community.

We’re proud to create spaces where our 3rd–8th graders can see themselves in the pages and be inspired to write their own powerful stories. 💜

Let the reading (and the growth) begin!
