🐱Benedict and Mitzi are looking for a home TOGETHER!

Benedict was left on a college campus alone after his mom and sister were TNR'd. Mitzi was found all by herself.

Both of these kittens were shy orphans, but when we put them together, they started to blossom! 🩷

🐈🐈‍⬛Benedict and Mitzi are a perfect pair! They both love to play, and they play hard! They will run and leap, followed by wrestling matches. When they're finally tired out, they love to snuggle up together in a comfy bed or a warm lap to snooze. Mitzi will often be found grooming her brother. Mitzi is a sassy, big personality in a tiny package. Benny is a big boy who is a huge baby at heart, and can be a little shy at first. When he's warmed up to you, he'll talk to you as he waits for his meals! We are looking for a more chill home with no young children, as these guys can get a little overwhelmed in a busy space.

❗While they aren't related, they are best friends, and truly bonded, and must be adopted together!

🐾All Tiny Paws RVA kittens are treated for fleas and parasites, tested for FIV/FELV, receive age appropriate vaccines, and are fixed before going home.
-Kittens must be indoor only and keep their claws.

Last week we not only welcomed our office litter and our group of 3, but we also welcomed this litter! 🐱

🪡 Meet the Sewing Notions Litter! 🧵

Bobbin, Button, Thimble, Ribbon, & Zipper came to us from an overcrowded shelter. Kittens this small are at huge risk of picking up something nasty from a shelter, so we pulled them as fast as we could!

This group is already becoming fast friends with their foster mom, and they're doing great. 🧡

Before anyone asks...
-Don't ask me who is who. 😂
-They have colored collars for their foster mom but by photo it's almost impossible to tell everyone apart... Except for Thimble. I'll let you guess which one he is. 😉
-Ribbon is the only girl, everyone else is a boy
-No one is available and we're not focused on adoption at this time.

Welcome to the good life, little ones! We're glad you're here! 🧡

Meet Phyllis and her adorable office crew!

A friend messaged me a few weeks ago. The homeless cat that kept showing up was now a permanent part of their family... And so were her unexpected kittens!

Phyllis is most likely not even a year old, but she's been a great mom so far! And her little crew is growing beautifully!

We were happy to have the kittens join the tiny paws fam so that when the time comes everyone will be vetted and find great homes. ☺️
In a month or so, everyone will be looking for homes, and Phyllis will never have to have more babies again!
Her kittens are Angela (tortie), Dwight (flame point), Oscar (seal point), Stanley (black), & Toby (orange).

Welcome to the good life, little ones! We're glad you're here! 🩷

*No one is available, and we don't pre adopt. Trying to claim a kitten now is icky. 😉*

You met Digit last week, but we failed to introduce you to her friends!

🐈‍⬛So meet Digit (again) and her sister, Bridget! And then meet Dottie, who we think is a cousin/half sister/relative of some kind. Everyone is from the same property, but it's definitely 2 different litters. Digit and Bridget are about 6/7 weeks old and Dottie is most likely 5/6 weeks old.

They started out in a playpen for the weekend, but today I (once again, sigh) gave up my full bathroom and moved them into it. They're already loving having space to run!

🩺As for Digit, she saw Dr Jones on Friday and got hooked up with some antibiotics and pain meds. She goes back to the vet Tuesday to have her foot X-rayed. He'll be performing surgery, but we won't know the extent until the X-rays are done.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who sent us a little something to help cover vet costs. I appreciate you supporting us more than I can say!

Welcome to the good life, little girls! We're glad you're here! 🧡

‼️ our newest kitten needs your help ‼️

Meet Digit!
(You'll meet her 2 sisters later)

Our favorite shelter partner, Beth, over at southernwelfareanimalgroup , messaged me earlier this week about a few kittens she needed us to take, one of whom had a foot injury of unknown causes.

In a surprise to absolutely no one, I said yes. 😂

During the week she sent me photos of the foot, I gave her some guidance on what to do, and today I met her to pick up the kittens.

(Warning: If you don't want to read gross things, skip the next section between the cat emojis! You've been warned)

🐱🐱🐱🚨🚨🚨🐱🐱🐱

I knew it was going to be a little bad, but it was worse than we expected. As I was looking at her toe and gently trying to figure out what happened, I accidentally pulled the scab off... And the nail and a small part of the bone came with it.

Thankfully, Digit is very sweet and was mostly annoyed, but very calm, during my mild moment of gross out.

As we were cleaning up her foot, we also realized that she has some exposed bone. Injuries like this can affect their whole leg, as well as create a huge risk for infection.

(📷 If you're that weird person who likes to see photos, there's a few photos at the end. Don't say we didn't warn you).

The good news is that the skin is healthy and pink and there's no sign of infection. She's also not messing with it, and she'll put weight on it. All good things!

However, this is a situation that could easily go downhill quickly.

🐱🐱🐱🚨🚨🚨🐱🐱🐱

Squeamish people, you can start reading again!

Tomorrow, Digit will go visit our favorite person, Dr. Jones, to get her started on medications and her a game plan formulated.

Of course, my love for taking in little broken kittens also means they come with a cost. We don't know what those costs will be, but if it comes to it we'd like to be prepared.

❤️‍🩹If you're able to help us make sure we can cover this situation (and maybe start to prepare for whatever Beth calls me with next), we can use your help!

Head over to TinyPawsRVA.org/donate to send us something over Venmo or PayPal to help us!

Welcome to the good life, little girl! We got you. 🩷

Y'all, we're kind of in a bit of a pickle. We have all these kittens and no adopters! July is always a bit of a slow month, but this has been awful! On top of that, we're getting requests every day to help more kittens in need and we can't until we have open foster homes!

Our tiny rescue has 15 kittens ready to go home right now (with approved application). To a big rescue that's just a normal Tuesday but for us, that's the most we've ever had available at once!

🐱 PLEASE SHARE! 🐱

If you're not in a place to adopt, the next best thing (aside from sending us a donation 😁) is to comment on and share this post! Tag a friend in the comments, tag your crush, maybe even tag that annoying girl from high school who always wants you to join her MLM. Everything helps!

🐾The fine print: all Tiny Paws RVA kittens are treated for fleas and parasites, tested for FIV/FELV, receive age appropriate vaccines, and are fixed before going home.

❗Kittens must be indoor only, keep their claws, and single kittens must be adopted to a home that already has another active cat OR in pairs. Priority is given to adopters looking to adopt 2 kittens.

🐱 We have MORE kittens available! Croissant (m), Beignet (f), and Eclair (m) are available for adoption!

Y'all, I love all my kittens but these guys are just extra perfect. (Photos of snuggles included in this post).
-Croissant loves to snuggle and he'll just stare into your soul making biscuits.
-Beignet is a playful girl who loves to leap and run!
-Eclair is a perfect mix in between, loving to both snuggle up with Foster Mom but also play hard!

🐱 If you don't adopt one (or two...or three!) of these perfect kittens you're going to regret it. Don't say I didn't warn you. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Y'all loved our tiny terror yesterday so much that it felt right to introduce you to another tiny terror who is currently looking for a home!

Meet Elliot! 🐱

Elliot is so painfully cute, it hurts to type these things out.
But before you fall in love, know that he's the type of guy that might just ruin your life. We kid, we kid... 👀

Elliott came to us after he was found outside with a raging eye infection.
We've gotten him healthy, and with health came so much energy! For being a tiny guy, he has no problem playing hard with the other kitties in the foster home! He'll wrestle and play with his foster brothers, and he'll give the resident cats a run for their money.

At his heart, Elliott is just a little baby. When he's finally tuckered out, he's almost always found snuggling with his foster mama.

🐱Elliot is the best little guy, and we know his perfect home is out there!

Marigold Meeps is so cute we can barely handle it.
Right? I know we all agree.

So would you believe she's actually a bit of a terror?
No one believes me, so I've included some photo evidence of Marigold MAYHEM in action.
Not pictured: the time she bit my nose and made me bleed! 😂
Which photo is your favorite?

Jokes aside, this is very typical for a single kitten.
This is why we always advocate for kittens having a buddy!
Marigold gets supervised time with some of the other foster kittens, but they are too big for her to safely hang out with all the time.
