Ramsay is a 2 year old male Maltese mix who weighs about 12lbs. Ramsay is friendly and extremely energetic. He is doing well with potty training but still needs some work. Ramsay gets car sick, which can be managed with nausea medication. He is picky about his dog friends and is dog reactive in some situations, so he needs a home as the only dog. He may enjoy playdates with dogs who can keep up with him. Ramsay needs an active, experienced family with a fenced yard and no children under 12.

We got TWO new friends today! They did not come from the same home.

Leo is a 1 1/2 year old male Tibetan Spaniel mix who weighs about 16lbs. Leo seems to get along with other dogs but will set boundaries with overly enthusiastic dogs. He is working on potty training. Leo has resource guarding issues which his forever family must be prepared to manage safely. He needs a home without children.

Choco is a 1 1/2 year old male Chihuahua who weighs about 10lbs. He is a bit overweight. He likes other dogs but is nervous with new people. He is working on potty training. A fenced yard is required and any children in the home must be at least 12 years old.

Tilly - 6 year old female Cattle Dog mix, 28lbs, timid at first but very sweet, quiet and playful. Gets along with most other dogs. Crate and potty trained. Loves toys and playing fetch. Met a cat and ignored him. Fenced yard required and any children in the home must be at least 12 years old.

Winston - 10-12 year old Jack Russell Terrier. 20lbs. Communicative and food motivated. Gets along with other dogs. Takes a while to warm up but will ask for pets, loves ear rubs and playing fetch. Any children in the home must be at least 12 years old.

Layla - 11 year old female Silky Terrier. 10lbs. Very friendly. Walks well on a leash. Any children in the home must be at least 12 years old. In early kidney failure and requires prescription diet.

Juju - 4 year old male Sheltie mix. 22lbs. High energy, needs stimulation and exercise. Appears to be potty trained. Active, experienced home with fenced yard and no children under 12 required.

Max - 7 year old male Yorkie. 12lbs. P*e pad trained, appears to be potty trained. Skittish but will warm up. Requires medication to go to the vet. Experienced home with fenced yard required and any children must be at least 12.

Ramsay - 2 year old male Maltese mix. 12lbs. Needs to be the only dog as he is picky about his dog friends. Does pretty well with cats. Very high energy. Gets car sick on 30+ minute drives. Fenced yard required and any children in the home must be at least 12 years old.

Guinness - 6 year old male brindle Pomeranian. 13lbs. Ignores other dogs his size. Very quiet, especially for a Pomeranian. Loves to get pets and give kisses on his terms. Pom-savvy home needed as he has some quirks. Fenced yard required and no children.

Luna - 6 month old Yorkie Chihuahua mix. 10lbs. Shy at first. Working on potty/crate training, will bark when she wants to go out. Gets along with most other dogs. Fenced yard preferred and any children must be at least 12 years old.

Leo - 1 1/2 year old male Tibetan Spaniel mix. 16lbs. Friendly. Gets along with most other dogs. Working on potty training. Needs a home with no children under 12 years old and familiar with resource guarding.

Choco - 1 1/2 year old male Chihuahua. 9lbs. Nervous with new people. Loves other dogs. Working on potty training. Fenced yard required and any children in the home must be at least 12 years old.

Guinness, a 6 year old male Pomeranian, loves enjoying the evening weather in his patio chair 😍

Guinness would love to find a home with experienced Pomeranian-savvy people who aren't afraid of a little growling. He LOVES pets, being brushed and giving kisses - until he's over it. He will let you know when that happens 😂 He prefers to do things at his own pace but is a very happy boy overall!

Guinness gets along with some other dogs his size but doesn't seem to have interest in playing with them. He loves treats and relaxing on the couch. Guinness is still working on potty training.

An experienced home with a fenced yard is required and no children.

We are very thankful to Gleaning For The World and Virginia Federation of Humane Societies for their Pet Food Program, which allowed us to purchase a huge pallet of dog food at a very discounted rate! Also a million thanks to my Dad who drove several hours round trip to pick it up, unloaded it all and put together shelves to store it on!! 💙

Layla came home from the hospital on Saturday with what appeared to be minimal improvements. At first she would not eat much, but today she has eaten pretty well and is much more alert and active. She will only eat certain things, like turkey baby food and one type of wet food, but we will feed her whatever she will eat while she finishes her antibiotics.

Layla saw the vet today, who described a "night and day" difference between Friday and today in some of her clinical signs like walking around, getting excited for food, no fever and less tenderness in her abdomen. The vet recommended finishing the antibiotics before rechecking her kidney values.

We are **cautiously** optimistic but Layla is definitely not out of the woods yet.

In the last 6 days, we have spent approximately $2,323 on Layla's care. We are grateful for the donations we have received, but we are a long way from covering this expense. Please consider donating and sharing with your friends.
