Greetings Ramtastic Parents,

Two quick reminders: our State of the School Address, followed by Q & A is at 3:00 PM tomorrow. This is in addition to our first Parent & Teacher Conference Night, from 3-6 PM. We look forward to seeing all who can make it.

Second reminder-the school that you entrust with your children is in a residential neighborhood where over 150 of our students walk from home to school and back home from school everyday. Four children were nearly hit by cars leaving Cheviot School this afternoon. They were in the crosswalk at Roswell and Harrison Avenues. This was witnessed by one of our crossing guards.

Wherever you need go after you pick up or drop off your children, will be so unimportant if you strike a child, with your car on your way to get there. The trauma that comes to your own children and the devastation to the injured child and their family is not the price that anyone would choose to pay. But when we can’t slow down, consequences will chase us all down.

PLEASE DRIVE AT THE SPEED OF ALL OF OUR CHILDREN.

Yours in safety and community,

Mrs. Solomon-Gray

🎺 Navy Week brought some incredible sounds to Cheviot! Our GAW and 4th grade homerooms got to experience the Navy Brass Quintet up close, discovering the magic behind trumpets, trombones, and more. ✨ The best part? They got to chat with the musicians and ask many burning questions about these shiny instruments and live experiences being in the Navy. 🎵 From sweet melodies to powerful brass harmonies, our students left the assembly with smiles on their faces and music in their hearts. 🇺🇸 A huge thank you to our Navy guests for sharing their talent and passion with our Cheviot community!
