Looks like Burlington is actually coming this time. For a while, I was convinced it wasn't gonna come, and I think a lot of community members would agree.

The former Kmart building in Cheyenne is close to being redeveloped to make room for two separate retail tenants: Burlington and Sierra. https://buff.ly/mIwEqjA

FYI Spirit in Cheyenne ran into some city inspection issues and isn't open for the rest of today.

If you haven't heard...

Lots of business have been catching serious heat for overuse of AI...
Ya'll are ruthless.....

Anyway, here's a hand painted sign of our latest news.

Maybe we should just stick to food 🤔

Have you tried this new bakery yet!? They have cupcakes, mini cakes, and even cinnamon rolls! Called Sweet Saddle Bake Co., it's on Cheyenne's SOUTH SIDE, too! Article linked in comments of each image.

I was recently asked something along the lines of whether there's a particular part of my creation process or final creation which I like more or less than another.

With more thought on the question... I find myself comparing to the idea of being in the position of a violinist or bassist and getting asked the same question. Editing videos, writing articles, creating newsletters... Those are my "instruments" if you will. Although I do enjoy each part of those processes some extent, they are necessary parts of my craft that can yield some serious results. My craft could not live without my instruments.

Thus, I don't actually know how to answer this question.

Does a violinist enjoy rubbing a bow back and forth on strings after covering the hairs in resin more/less than the music that results? Does a bassist enjoy slapping their four strings more/less than the deep-ish sound it makes? BTW--I never thought I'd know a thing about bass, thanks Davie504.

Maybe I'm hanging out on a limb here, but...answering this question and trying to compare the process to the end result is like comparing Apples to Oranges and saying one is better. And what can I say, I like both. Two totally different textures and flavors.

Being in the position of being what I think many could agree is a type of artistry--it's so fun, lol. The people that get it, they GET IT! But the ones that don't... It can be very challenging to explain and answer their questions in a way that makes sense.

Important info to know about Retail Minute. I feel like this should be obvious, but just in case it wasn't...

I wanna be abundantly clear: My articles are **NOT sponsored** [[except where specifically noted and emphasized]]. All sponsored segments ARE and WILL be denoted as "sponsored" in a similar fashion as seen in this preview and separated in some way from the rest of the content.

This is NOT an ad-focused space; this isn't a trading or coupon magazine! INSTEAD, Cheyenne's Retail Minute is focused on the art of **journalism**, sharing what I (Optopolis / Draven) discover happening in the capitol city--discussed as I see it through my eyes.

I'm frequently asked about retail things happening here in Cheyenne, and this is the BEST way I can deliver on discussion of retail things.

In a perfect world, I'd do this free of charge to anyone, but that's infeasible. It takes time to research, build, and deliver each edition--not to mention the monetary cost of printing and and delivering each edition.

In the not-to-distant future, I believe I'd like the Retail Minute to be a mixture of viewer-supported and PICKup-Spot-supported, but it's not there yet. If you as a reader would like to help me reach that goal, I'd strongly encourage you to consider joining a paid Patreon tier via the RetailMinute Patreon page! (PICKup Spots, stay tuned!)

If you as a reader like finding copies in the wild and don't want lots of extra things, there's a $5/mo tier that functions somewhat like a tip jar; it's called, "Buy Draven a Coffee!"

Alternatively, if you'd like extra content or more convenience (or both), you can join...
- the Digital Minute ($6/mo) - Digitized editions/archive + behind the scenes (BTS) + work in progress (WIP) updates
- the Mailer's Minute ($7.25/mo) - Each edition is sent to you via snail-mail with a personalized note
- The Full Minute ($9/mo) - ALL the above, including Digitized editions/archive + bts + wip + editions snail-mailed with a personalized note

Whichever reader-level tier you join, it's the equivalent of about one to two coffees per month; in return, you get special service and/or exclusive content all while supporting the local resource discussing retail happenings!

Patreon link in Bio/about. I'd love to link to the Patreon page here, but Facebook just stinks anymore. Honestly, I'd rather you follow me on Patreon for free instead of here because Patreon allows me to share with you whatever I want whenever I want! Plus, it's even possible to get email notifications via Patreon!
