Team Flying Gold

We’re home from our first DockDogs event of the 2026 season—the Little Apple Splash Wild Card! It was a great weekend and, as always, one of the best parts was catching up with so many of our DockDogs friends.

The star of Team Flying Gold this weekend was Miss Talladega Nights, “Tally.” She made her Extreme Vertical debut and cleared 4’6” with both Mom and Dad in Extreme Vertical. She capped off the weekend by earning her very first official Iron Dog score!

Reka had a few “discussions” with the bumper at the top of the dock, but she stepped up and jumped every single time. While she didn’t bring home any ribbons, her cuteness helped Ron earn the 2026 Little Apple Splash “That Looked Better in Practice” Award.

As for Gambit, his puppy brain kicked in this weekend and he seemed to forget he was actually at a competition. Instead, he focused on what he does best—loving people and therapy dog practice. Throughout Friday and Saturday, many visitors from local hospitals stopped by the event, and Gambit was there to greet them, sharing plenty of smiles, tail wags, and puppy love.

Gambit had a great time jumping for the first day of Spring Dock Diving League a few weeks ago. He was jumping without hesitation. Thank you for the great photos. Thank you auntie for the assist on the dock so Gambit could get some big air.

Gambit did an amazing job world championship. He had fun and matched his personal best in Extreme Vertical of 5’10”. He even got to duel with his favorite kid, Jasmine. On his very last duel, he was racing against his sister Tally and ACTUALLY raced and almost beat her. We love that we have these amazing pictures from the photographers to always remember the event.

We can’t wait to see if Gambit can break past the 6 foot mark this year. 🐾

Here is our 3rd place World Champion, our speedy girl, Talladega Nights official photos from the 2025 DockDogs World Championships. She has such amazing focus and loves to race. We are so proud of this girl!

Today, Miss Tally earned her Canine Good Citizen (CGC). She is such a good girl. Very high energy but can focus like a laser. Gambit did further work towards becoming therapy dog. They are both tuckered out. 🐾
