๐ Working Together for Laramie County
As we observe National Su***de Prevention Awareness Month this September, we are reminded that preventing su***de takes a community, and no single agency does it alone. For the past five years, the Laramie County Su***de Fatality Review Team (SFRT)โa confidential, multi-agency group of local professionalsโhas met quarterly to better understand how we can protect and support our community.
By looking closely at local trends, improving data accuracy, and identifying unique risk and protective factors, the SFRT helps local organizations:
Identify circumstances to inform future prevention efforts
Address system and community factors impacting su***de risk
Build stronger, cooperative protocols among agencies
Recommend impactful local policies, practices, and resources
Cheyenne Fire Rescue is proud to be an active participant, bringing the perspectives of first-response EMS, Community EMS, and Peer Support to the table. Alongside local healthcare providers, behavioral health experts, law enforcement, American Medical Response, veterans' organizations, and other dedicated partners, we are working to bridge gaps in services and create earlier opportunities for intervention.
By turning shared local insights into meaningful action, we strive to protect the people of Laramie County and let no one feel alone.

๐ Need Support? If you or someone you know is experiencing a mental health or su***de-related crisis, help is always available. Call or text 988 to reach the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline, available 24/7.
