Do you know where this is?
A picture says a thousand words and some rocks say even more!
Independence Rock also known as the Register of the Desert for the more than 5,000 names that are a part of our pioneering history. One of the earliest signatures carved into the large granite rock is 1824 by M. K. Hugh. The Rock received its name after an Independence Day celebration with William Sublette and 80 pioneers. The name stuck and became a landmark and goal of the more than 550,000 westward travelers. The Rock's highest point sits 136 feet above the surrounding terrain.

Have you visited here?
Don't trade your morning for quick coffee. 🦬☕️
It’s easy to rush through the door with whatever watered-down, instant brew is fastest. But around here, we believe the start of your day deserves more than just a speed run.
Your morning sets the tone for everything that follows—why trade it away? Slow down for just five minutes. Pour a hearty roast that actually tastes like coffee, take in that rich prairie aroma, and let yourself get grounded before you charge ahead.
You don’t need quick fixes; you need fuel built to last. Take back your morning ritual.
You’ve herd it here first: slow sips beat rushed trips every single time. How do you take your morning brew when you finally get a moment to sit and savor it? Tell us below! 👇

Today, September 29th, is National Coffee Day!
It's a day dedicated to celebrating the beverage and raising awareness of the farmers around the world who cultivate it.
Here are a few facts to celebrate the occasion:
> It started in the Middle East: The earliest credible evidence of coffee drinking dates back to the middle of the 15th century in the Sufi shrines of Yemen, where it was used in religious ceremonies.
> It's actually a seed: What we call a coffee "bean" is actually the pit inside a fruit known as a coffee cherry.
> The American appetite: Americans consume at least 400 million cups of coffee daily, making the United States the leading consumer in the world. At least 75% of American adults drink it.
> The decaf process: Coffee seeds undergo the decaffeination process while they are still green, long before they are roasted.
> The 1932 Olympics: The Brazilian government couldn't afford to send its athletes to the 1932 Los Angeles Games, so they funded the trip by loading the team onto a ship with thousands of pounds of coffee to sell at various ports along the way

Brass Tacks Tuesday!
Follow us as we bring you Facts, Fun, Recipes, Traveling and great Coffee
Traveling to Yellowstone National Park isn’t the only way to see bison roaming freely. Free-ranging bison herds can be found in protected parks across the country. Yellowstone bison represent one of the largest herds, while Wind Cave National Park in South Dakota manages another significant population. Additional herds roam in Grand Teton, Badlands, Theodore Roosevelt, and parks in Montana (like Glacier National Park). and other Western states. Some parks maintain a small herd for educational and conservation purposes, while others support larger, free-ranging bison populations.
Each of these parks plays a critical role in protecting bison populations for future generations. Together, these protected areas ensure that a herd of bison continues to thrive.
