Sweet Alfie visited Russell for a spa day!
He is totally ready for a forever home!

Adoptable Alfie is FINE.

He’s happy. He smiles at everyone. He’s making the best of his life.
But “fine” is not what Alfie deserves.

Alfie has been with Caring Animal Rescue Inc since he was just a year old. He’s now about 3½ years old, and in all that time, he has not received a single adoption application. Not one.

And the crazy thing is, there is NOTHING wrong with Alfie.

He is one of those incredibly easy, good-natured dogs who should have been somebody’s beloved family dog a long time ago:

• Great with kids and all the noise and commotion that comes with them
• Great with other dogs, even the little yappy ones
• Great with cats
• Walks easily on leash
• Rides well in the car
• Takes treats gently
• Is quiet
• Potties appropriately at the daycare where he lives and should transition easily to house training
• Is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations
• Is past the puppy-craziness stage, but still has plenty of goofy, wiggly fun left in him

And he is SO loving.

Alfie wants to be where his people are. He wants to be part of whatever is happening. He’ll happily flop his entire 64-lb body upside down in the middle of a walk just because rolling around feels like a good idea.

Everyone who actually meets Alfie loves him.

His problem is that people aren’t meeting him.

He keeps getting passed over for smaller, flashier, more photogenic dogs. Alfie is a bit of a hambone, and apparently his enormous smile and goofy charm don’t translate quite as well in adoption photos as they do in person.

But this dog would make a wonderful family dog. Instead, he has spent essentially his entire life waiting for someone to choose him.
His adoption fee has been reduced to $150 to help him finally get home.

Facebook sharing really can be the difference between a dog continuing to wait and his person finally seeing him. Somewhere out there is a family who would absolutely adore this ridiculous, happy, sweet boy. We just need to get Alfie in front of them.

Foster fail alert!

We are so excited to share that Blaze, now known as Daisy Mae, has officially found her fur-ever home!

She was supposed to be a three- week-foster-to-adopt, but her mommy knew 1 week in: "This is my dog!"

Meet Susie and Sally.
Two 8-week-old Jack Russell Terriers.
They are looking for loving homes.
They are good with dogs of all sizes, kids, and cats.

We just received this awesome update on Wilder. She is thriving and living her best life!

"I'm a little late with my six-month check-in, but I want to assure you, Wilder aka Blondie is THRIVING! She is beyond perfection, and I could just burst with how much I love her. She's bold yet sensitive, loves her siblings to pieces, loves adventuring and exploring new hikes, and in agility class, she's known as the happiest dog in the world. That's what our classmates call her. She approaches learning with so much joy! She's scary smart, like no dog I've ever had. Show her once, and she'll remember exactly what to do a week later. She's learning to swim now, and if she wants to dock dive that is going to be our next activity at the training club. She's my bestest little gal pal who is on my lap or at my side always, unless she's wrestling with Micah. Those two girls think the world of each other. So much of what she is is thanks to her experiences with you. Thank you for entrusting me with her! I truly feel like the luckiest girl in the world. She's an angel on earth."
