Local departments alone are unable to provide the mental health wellness services that their officers so desperately need.
Bank The Blue's mission is to provide funding and access for mental health services to Illinois law enforcement officers dealing with multiple psychosocial stressors both on and off the job. According to mental health experts, the rate for post-traumatic stress disorder and depression among police officers is five times higher than that of the civilian population and often goes untreated. BANK THE BLUE provides funding and access for mental health services to Illinois law enforcement officers dealing with multiple psychosocial stressors both on and off the job. Our fundraising efforts are implemented in partnership with retired police officer training programs and certified, culturally competent clinicians who specialize in treatments oriented for the unique needs of Law Enforcement Officers. Bank The Blue, is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that was launched in March 2020 by a group of Chicago business professionals with close ties to the law enforcement community. Bank The Blue is governed by a diverse and distinguished board of law enforcement, business and community leaders.

Mark your calendars! Please join us on Sunday, September 13 at 8:30 a.m. at Methodist Park (216 N. Prindle St., Arlington Heights, IL 60004) for the 6th Annual Battle of the Badges Memorial Softball Tournament.
This family-friendly event brings together local Police and Fire departments for a day of friendly competition, community support, and fundraising for first responder mental health initiatives. The opening ceremony features a Pipes & Drums performance, the National Anthem, and a welcome from Arlington Heights Mayor James Tinaglia, with the games beginning promptly at 9:00 a.m.
Enjoy delicious burgers and hot dogs courtesy of Whittingham Meats and Tavern on the Point, refreshing b**r donated by Mullarkey, live entertainment, face painting, Kona Ice, raffles, and plenty of activities for kids.
More than 300 attendees are expected, including teams from Arlington Heights, Mount Prospect, Buffalo Grove, Rosemont, Highland Park, and Wilmette Police and Fire departments, along with local elected officials.
Last year's event raised more than $30,000 for local Police and Fire mental health charities. Help us make an even greater impact this year by joining us for this incredible community tradition!
