Medical Assistance in Dying (MAID) laws go into effect in Illinois in September. It is not a coincidence that legislation like this, massive Medicaid cuts, and policies promoting institutionalization are on the rise at the same time. We are witnessing escalations in facism every day. cherry writes on disability, care, suicidality, living, and ways forward.
