Dog parents turn to me when they're ready to enjoy stress-free walks with their dogs, free from leash pulling and barking at other dogs.
We teamed up with XP Gap to put our Bark-BQ Bash vendors to the ultimate test: forget the business questions for a minute… what game do you play?!
First up: Emely’s Cafecito! ☕️🍋🍰
Her answer? FORTNITE 🎮💥
We already knew she made great coffee and lemonade, but now we know she can also throw down in Fortnite
Huge thanks to Emely’s Cafecito for being part of Bark-BQ Bash and for joining us for this ridiculously fun interview!
And if you want to see what games our other vendors secretly play… keep watching. 👀🎮

Your dog isn't broken because they had a setback.
And yes... I'm talking about Cricket 😂
Now that he's healed from surgery, we're getting back into our normal routine and I've noticed a few things that need a little refreshing.
Leash pulling? Yep.
Attention barking? Yep.
Putting toys behind the couch where NO ONE can reach them? Absolutely. 😂
But that's the thing about training...
Progress isn't a straight line.
Dogs go through changes. Routines change. Life happens. Sometimes a skill gets a little rusty.
That doesn't mean you've failed.
It just means you go back a step, make things easier, practice again, and build it back up.
Even trainers have homework. 😉

Cricket's post-neuter update! 🐾
One week later and this guy is doing GREAT. He is basically ready to ditch the cone and get back to regular programming 😂
The first few days were pretty chill with lots of enrichment, chews, frozen applesauce, and... obviously... cheese 🧀
By day three, Cricket had apparently decided he was fully recovered and was VERY interested in running around like nothing had happened.
Unfortunately for him, I am the fun police 🚔 just for the recovery
We kept things calm, even when he was convinced he was ready for the Olympics.
Now we're a week out, he's almost completely healed, and we're slowly getting back to our normal routine.
Would he like to discuss his unfair week of enforced relaxation? Absolutely.
Does he have a case? Probably not but I'm sure he would try with all the drama I've seen this week 🙄
Here's to a happy, healthy Cricket and getting back to all our adventures! ❤️
Neuter Day 1 check-in ✅
Cricket is:
- Eating normally
- Resting comfortably
- Ready for his next snack 😋
What I’m doing:
- Quiet space + low stimulation
- Short, leashed potty breaks only
- No running, jumping, or rough play
- Meds on schedule, eyes on the cone 👀
Your vet’s plan always comes first, but if your pup is eating, drinking, and resting, that’s a great sign.
The big key is keep things dry, clean, and if anything changes talk to your vet they are your best friend 🧡

Your puppy has sticky paws... and an even stickier mouth. 😂
Leaves?
Mine.
Chicken bone?
Mine.
Your sock?
Definitely mine!
That's why I love teaching "leave it."
It's one of those cues that seems simple... until it saves you from chasing your puppy down the sidewalk because they found the world's most questionable snack.
Teach it before you need it.
Because bail money is expensive. 🚔🐾

Tomorrow's agenda:
✂️ Get neutered.
😴 Sleep.
🧩 Do LOTS of calm enrichment.
💛 Get spoiled a little extra (like that doesn't happen already 🤭)
After surgery, your puppy probably won't be up for long walks or wrestling the couch cushions (even if they think they are).
That's where calm enrichment comes in.
Lick mats, frozen Kongs, gentle sniffing games, and the Enrichment Game Deck are all great ways to keep your puppy's brain busy while their body gets the rest it needs.
I've got Cricket's surgery suit ready, enrichment prepped, and plenty of snacks on standby.
Wish my little dude good luck tomorrow! ❤️🩹
