Race alone is no longer enough for SBA 8(a) eligibility.

The rules have changed, but many business owners are still qualified; they just need to document it differently.

If you've assumed you don't qualify, it may be time to take another look.

Drop "8A" below for an eligibility review.

Finding contract opportunities is one challenge.

Finding reliable partners to help you deliver is another.

Whether you're pursuing federal, state, or municipal work, your ability to execute often comes down to who you can call when the opportunity arrives.

That's why strong teams win more contracts.

Not because they know more people—but because they've built relationships with qualified businesses before they need them.

See how we're helping create a pipeline of diverse, certified, and bid-ready businesses that primes and agencies can confidently work with.

The right opportunity is important. The right partners are what help you win it.

Not everyone agrees with the current administration.

But regardless of politics, the federal government remains one of the largest buyers of products and services in the world.

For business owners, that's an opportunity.

Many companies miss out on government contracts because they overlook three critical factors: visibility, timing, and language.

The businesses that win aren't always the biggest—they're often the ones that understand the process.

The Truth About Section 875 of the FY2026 NDAA—It's Not a Communication Blackout

If you've heard that contracting officers are now "silenced" under the new rules, here's what's actually happening:

What Section 875 Really Does: Section 875 is designed to discourage incumbent contractors from filing bid protests at the GAO that extend performance through bridge contracts or contract extensions. If the protest is dismissed as frivolous, the government can withhold up to 5% of the incumbent's payments.

What It Doesn't Do:
❌ It does NOT restrict contracting officer communication
❌ It does NOT eliminate pre-award discussions
❌ It does NOT create a "procurement blackout"

The Real Shift: Under the Revolutionary FAR Overhaul, federal agencies are actually encouraging earlier and more transparent communication with contracting officers. The overhaul shifts the FAR from rule-based to principle-based, rewritten in plain language to eliminate ambiguity.

What This Means for Your Business: Instead of worrying about silence, focus on strategic positioning:

Request formal clarification sessions early in the procurement
Build a comprehensive proposal narrative that addresses anticipated questions
Stay current with agency-specific guidance as the FAR Overhaul rolls out
In 2026, the federal procurement landscape rewards clarity, compliance, and strategic preparation—not speculation about phantom communication barriers.
