I post a lot of different earrings in various points of creation, and honestly I forget to post finished ones. Enjoy these lovelies.

There are many steps to completing a pair of earrings. Sometimes they are arduous and messy, especially when you are starting out. It takes time to improve your skills and when you do some of those tasks will be less difficult.
Sanding is one of those tasks. The better quality the cutter or skills with a knife the less clean up your pieces will require. I use a few different methods for sanding. A dremel is the most aggressive one I use. Safety is also a requirement when using this method. Not pictured here is the face mask I also wear when sanding with a dremel.

I don't have any Halloween or even fall themed cutters, but that doesn't mean I can't mix some fall colors. I also enjoy a good skinner blend as well. I wasn't very good at getting the blend wide enough to use the cutter I wanted to (that would have involved the entire blend), but I did get two smaller cuts that showcase a good portion of it.

Out of the oven & cleaned up. I'm really liking the feel and coloring of Cernit clay. Even though this was a mix of colors, the edges were nearly perfect! No crackling or feathering. The first shot, the extreme close up, is the tiny edges that came off.

Another weekend down and another creation in process. I went back to my Cernit clay here. I used some of the techniques from making faux stone, but mixed it with a Mokume Gane technique.
One small slab got silver foil on it. They may say glitter is the herpes of the craft world, but foil (especially chopped) is something much more annoying.
I added holographic glitter to the next layer, the third layer received white acrylic paint, and the last layer has a purple mica.
After compressing the layers together I manipulated and cut it to merge some of those layers together. It was thinly sliced off and placed onto a clean slab of metallic pink.

My Latest batch after baking. I was going for a tortoise look, but as you can see it didn't end up that way. My color ratios we not correct and, it's more of an amber look.
I not disappointed at all, we'll maybe a little in my color mixing skills. 🤔

This cane, even with proper conditioning, still ended up being quite dry. 🤞 we shall see how it bakes up. Stay tuned for results.
